Which Goal Are You Running Towards?

Sometimes, we think about what we do that causes other things to change. We can all go through the motions but if they are not about God then it’s all in vain. Some walk around and beat their chest to brag about the things they’ve done. Pride goes before a fall. What good does it do to sow to the flesh? Those who sow to the flesh will reap corruption. Everything we do should be all for the glory of God whether it’s in the church house or out in the world. God doesn’t care that you might have a nice house or a fancy car. It’s okay to have money but don’t put it before God. Everything we are, inside and out, is all because of Christ.  Do you attend church because you’re expected to? When was the last time you sold out to Christ? Want peace? Get ahold of God. We oftentimes turn to the world to take the pain away or look for peace. Which goal are you running toward?  Just because your life might come to a screeching halt doesn’t mean the world stops with you. You can’t be profitable for being a pew warmer. The life that you live is where you preach your own funeral. What you do in your life matters. Your flesh is never satisfied and must be kept in check with God. It desires more and more. Money, the flesh can never have enough of it. Money is not evil, the love or lust of it is the problem.  Where is your hope? Does your hope come from above, Jesus? If you want love, Jesus is a love that can’t be compared. His love never ends and never wavers. The world does offer some happiness, but it can’t compare to God’s happiness. The world’s happiness doesn’t last and is fleeting. God’s happiness never fails, never leaves, and is forevermore.
