who you follow on socials say a lot about your self esteem

from CRAZY ENOUGH with Sheriff Muhammad · host Sheriff Muhammad

This is a very big cheat code 📈 A quick example; Every year, I’m always putting it on my New Year’s resolution list that I want to get closer to God, but e be like every year, i just Dey drift away 😂; until I actually went into my insta, Tiktok and YouTube and actually followed about 10 creators that talked about Islam. Bruh, I’m in a much better place in my relationship with Allah by not doing much, but just making my distraction an attraction. If you noticed, in my videos, I’ve referenced God more in recent times, Omo, it’s just cause I leveraged socials. It’s not easy to just wake up and say I want to be this new kind of person when your life is still populated with models that reinforce your old identity; that’s why I always do an audit of who I’m following every 6 months, just to make sure I’m still aligned to becoming my highest self. DO IT TODAY, UNFOLLOW people that make you feel insecure or aren’t supporting your growth in any way, and follow people that are where you wanna be, and you’ll be like them soon enough 🥺💙
