Does the geography of your birth dictate your religion? Many people have wondered, "would II be a sold out Hindu if I were born in India vs a Christian from Indiana?" In this series we are going to take a hard look at how Jeus compares to other major world religions. We will ask questions like:What is unique about Christianity compared to other world religions? Did Jesus just copy things from other religions?Don't other religions include Jesus so can't I kind of mix and match my favorite religions? Did Jesus ever talk about other religions? In reality, if we were going to have a world religion fight club, how would Jesus face off against other saviors or ideologies. Comparing Jesus and His words to other ideas is actually encouraged in the Bible. It is so important that Peter wrote to "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." Jesus vs The Gods is going to be an exciting conversation about who's the best God.

Confirm Not Conform Ed Gungor One of the challenges facing the Christian Church today is infusing those who come from a basic, pagan worldview with the true Christian faith. The Shape of the Liturgy podcast addresses this and other questions like, “How can we sustain a community of faith over multiple generations?” These are not new questions for the Church, so it’s quite natural to look back to see how she has addressed these issues throughout history. In this podcast, Bishop Ed Gungor provides a landscape of Christian thought, practice, and formation that has enabled the Church to successfully find her voice in the midst of a deeply pluralistic culture, not unlike our own. This series not only explores this conversation generally but explains how it is specifically impacting the Diocese of St. Anthony, the diocese of which he serves as the Bishop Ordinary.Production by Citizens of Sound
