Why pregnant women feel they cannot report domestic abuse

Most pregnant women subjected to domestic violence say shame and the fear of having their children taken away prevented them from asking maternity staff for help. That’s according to a new report by Women’s Aid and Ireland’s leading maternity hospitals.    Ciara discusses the stark findings with Eavan Ward, Head of Regional Services at Women’s Aid.
