(Ezra 3:10) Ezra 3:10(NASB) Now when the builders had laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets and the Levites the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the LORD according to the directions of King David of Israel. Jeremiah 29:10-11(NASB) 10 “For thus says the Lord, ‘When seventy years have been completed for Babylon, I will visit you and fulfill My good word to you, to bring you back to this place. 11 For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Psalm 100:5(NASB) For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 111:2 (NASB) Great are the works of the LORD; They are studied by all who delight in them. 1 Chronicles 6:31(NASB) Now These are those whom David appointed over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after the ark rested there. 1 Chronicles 13:2 (NASB) David said to all the assembly of Israel, “If it seems good to you, and if it’s from the Lord our God, let us send everywhere to our kinsmen who remain in all the land of Israel, also to the priests and the Levites who are with them in their cities with pasture lands, that they may meet with us; 1 Chronicles 13:8 (NASB) David and all Israel were celebrating before God with all their might, even with songs and with lyres, harps, tambourines, cymbals and with trumpets. 2. We Praise the Lord for His LOVE for US. (Ezra 3:11) Ezra 3:11 They sang, praising and giving thanks to the Lord, saying “For He is good, for His lovingkindness is upon Israel forever” And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the LORD because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid. Psalm 106:1(NASB) Praise the LORD! Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. Psalm 118:28-29(NASB) You are my God and I give thanks to You; You are my God, I extol You. 29Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting John 3:16(NASB) For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 3. Praise is not about YOU it’s about HIM. (Ezra 3:12-13) Ezra 3:12-13 (NASB)Yet many of the priests and Levites and heads of fathers’ households, the old men who had seen the first temple, wept with a loud voice when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, while many shouted aloud for joy, 13.So that the people could not distinguish the sound of the shout of joy from the sound of the weeping of the people, for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the sound was heard far away. Haggai 2:3(NASB) ‘Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not see, to you like nothing in comparison?
