Willing to Grieve

from Horse Hippie’s Morning Mantras · host Horse Hippie

Morning Mantra: “We must learn to accept sadness as an appropriate, natural state of loss.”Grief is not just for the loss of someone when they pass on. We also grieve the loss of something we had dreamed about. We can and SHOULD grieve the life we envisioned. Our failed marriage, or business. Our inability to have children, or estrangement from family.Having to satisfy ourselves with an unfulfilling career, or not making enough money. Not living where we had hoped. Not being able to afford the hobbies we love. And so on…We often feel grief about these things but are too worried about sounding petty, or like we are complaining, to do the work to process it. So we push it down inside.I’m here to tell you that feeling sad about the loss of a dream and verbalizing it are good for you. It will help you recognize what really matters and then re-write your “how it should be” narrative.Complain and accept. Complain and do something about it. Where can you find the joy from what’s missing in something else?#BeWillingToGrieve #BeHappy #BeHippie #MorningMantra #WordsToInspire #InspirationalQuotes #SmallBusinessOwner #WomenOwned #HorseHippie #HorsehippieBoutiqueQuote: Elizabeth Kuber-Ross
