Wisdom and True Spirituality

In 1 Corinthians 2, Paul emphasizes 2 main points: first, that unsaved people cannot understand the truth of God since they lack the Spirit of God in their lives; and secondly, that real wisdom is only from God and is only revealed to those who have the indwelling Spirit of God within them (true believers). The second half of chapter 2 is Paul's explanation of why these two premises are true based on the principles of God's revelation, God's inspiration, and God's illumination. But his main points distinguish between truly spiritual people (believers) and unspiritual people (unbelievers). The foundation that he lays based on "those that love God" sets the stage for everything else he will cover in this epistle.
