Wisdom For the Tough Decisions

from Pastor Mike Impact Ministries · host Michael L Grooms

Today, Tuesday October 27 - Are you facing a crisis or decision in your life, your family, your finances or your work, and you don't know what to do?  Do you need wisdom?  One of the great promises for a believer is found in James 1:5 which says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."  This verse reminds us that God is waiting to give us the guidance, the understanding, and the knowledge to make the right decision, if we will only ask Him.  He is not going to make us feel like a dummy when He answers and shows us what we need to know.  He gives this wisdom without "reproach".  Wisdom is not the same as knowledge.  It might include knowledge, but the wisdom this verse is speaking of, is the ability to be able to see life and every situation from God's perspective, and respond to it the best way!  There are so many thing we face in life that we can't seem to understand.  "Why did God allow this to happen?" Remember the scripture in Proverbs 3:5-7 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil."  A couple of my favorite verses are: Proverbs 20:24  "A man's steps are of the LORD; How then can a man understand his own way?" And, Proverbs 16:9 "A man's heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps." Today, it is my prayer, that you will seek and ask the Lord for the wisdom you need for whatever you are dealing with, and I assure you, He will answer and direct your steps.  God bless!
