With Broken Wings

from Jason.Creer · host Jason.Creer

New note (11.12.25) I just finished remastering this song, i hope you like the new version. If you don't like it and you really want a copy of the old version, email me on [email protected] and i can send you a copy. :) Hello everyone i wrote this song to be about facing near impossible odds to achieve what you have worked hard for and rightfully deserve. I wrote it to be fast and intense, based a little off personal struggles in regards to Taekwondo, but more specifically the lyrics are written around Scootaloo from MLP. This is another one with my singing as well so... sorry about that, hahaha. I can only get Razor Tongue to sing so many :P he is a busy guy. Lyrics are... Oh everyday I’m forced to remember The places I’ll never reach as you Pin me to my place And take off to the sky Just because I can't fly You won't hold me to the ground Like an anchor of doubt around my neck You chain to me, Like a ship of rust rotting in the sea With all the agony I'm bound to the ground with pain and worry Just another name another somebody Lost in the world of wasted things Looking to the sky with my broken wings I wish the voices would go away How they haunt me every day The part of the mind that says you can't With all the fear that holds you back Telling me that I’ll never belong You've given me a point to attack You forge the iron bars that cripple me Like a bird in captivity With broken wings and shattered dreams I'm begging... Begging to be free I've practiced every day Searching for some way To have what's rightfully mine Looking for some sign That the end is near And the light will appear To spare me from the hell Of every time I fell I need to try something more To push myself like never before Come nightfall I’ll know for sure If I come out on top of this civil war The gloves are off this time's for real At the edge with nerves of steel It's now or never it's do or die Will I fall or will I fly My heart's racing at the speed of sound Falling closer to the ground Is this the price, is this the cost? To take back all I’ve lost To agony Fighting for the light inside of me Show me what I’m meant to be The part of the mind that says you can't With all the fear that holds you back Telling me that I’ll never belong You've given me a point to attack You forge the iron bars that cripple me Like a bird in captivity With broken wings and shattered dreams I'm begging... Begging to be free
