Wolfenstein and the State of Retro Shooters

We're talking about the resurgence of quality retro shooters like Doom and Wolfenstein and their place in modern gaming. Also, WTF can't Duke Nukem get this right? Finally we're here to complain about the SNES shortages we should have seen coming knowing Nintendo's track record so far.
