    Under the Sisterhood Trailer

    Release Date: 08/16/2022

Description: For four years, I have been preparing for Under the Sisterhood. The departure from a 35-year career, the end of my 28-year marriage and the loss of both of my parents gave me a lot to feel and a lot to think about. As I began a new chapter of my life, I was overcome with a need to hold the women in my life close to me. I craved sisterhood, to share my story and hear the stories of other women. As I deepened my connections with women in my life, I was struck by the depth and variety of our experiences and stories. And yet, I felt the universal thread of womanhood holding us together. It was during these profound conversations that I started to imagine a sacred space for women of all cultures, ages, and backgrounds to share, grieve and celebrate. Under the Sisterhood was born from a vision to honor and hold space for women across the big, beautiful spectrum of our experiences and expressions.—The Under the Sisterhood podcast drops on August 26th "Women's Equality Day" and launches its online “age-agnostic” space and podcast series featuring twelve women, ages 20 to 60, from diverse backgrounds (representing eight countries). They are multifaceted people: sisters, mothers, daughters, aunts, grandmothers, friends, artists, influencers, healers, entrepreneurs, performers, advocates, and activists. From there, the plan is to build on the podcast series with one to two additional women featured each week, so that by International Women’s Month in March 2023, the wisdom and leadership from over 40 women will be showcased. Join the online conversation using the hashtag #underthesisterhood and follow @underthesisterhood.If you haven’t already, please give us a quick review and rating on Apple podcasts and Spotify and don’t forget you can follow us FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

Like every male-dominated workplace in Eisenhower America, the growing intelligence agency needed women to type memos, send messages, manipulate expense accounts, and keep secrets. Despite discrimination?even because of it?these clerks and secretaries rose to become some of the shrewdest, toughest operatives the agency employed. Because women were seen as unimportant, they moved unnoticed on the streets of Bonn, Geneva, and Moscow, stealing secrets under the noses of the KGB.
