Worshiping Through Work | The Origin of Work: Part 1

In this sermon, I discussed the concept of "Worshiping Through Work," aiming to bridge the gap between Sunday worship and Monday work. I began by exploring the origin of work, drawing parallels with the importance of understanding the origin stories of superheroes. Just as knowing a superhero's origin story helps us understand their character and actions, understanding the origin of work can shed light on its purpose and significance. I emphasized that work is not just a necessary burden to pay bills and support families, but it should be a means of worshiping God. I encouraged the congregation to find joy and fulfillment in their work, viewing it as a form of vocation. I pointed out that everything started with work, referring to the book of Genesis, which contains the origin of everything else in the Bible, including the gospel, the purpose of man, and worship.
