YEM returns with an exclusive interview with Nicholas McDonough, who stars as Gil from Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies! For those who need a refresher on the show: The prequel of the renowned musicals Grease and Grease 2 stars four misfit students, banding together to become the founding mothers of a clique known as the "Pink Ladies" in Rydell High. In our interview with Nicholas, we ask a few questions about his origins. Nicholas talked about his university, the experience, and skills he developed as a musical theatre major, his birthplace, and where he decided to leave after graduating from Point Park University. As a musical theatre major, he had to study Grease, which prompted an important question: What is his favorite song from the original Grease? When asked what his favorite song was from the original Grease, his favorite was Beauty School Dropout. He expresses how the scene was a "master class in...everything", from filmmaking to staging, and expresses wonder about it.
