You Can Still Serve Jesus - 06/08/2023

Bible Text: 1 Corinthians 7:10-24 This week we pick up the verses that got left last week that look at the topic of divorce. Paul is still looking at human relationships through the lens of 'we belong to Jesus', but in the second half of our passage he broadens that out to a more general principle, 'Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them.' Even that is not absolute (see vs 21), and yet it again challenges the way we tend to process life and in particular the generally accepted idea that we should aspire to more and more and more. Paul here challenges us to reconsider our core goals as we follow Jesus.
