When @charriselane spoke up against the disturbing imagery being promoted of #blackwomen in music, racist media went on the attack. But as my therapist/professor wife, @coachingwithdralicia explained on our podcast, the #Blackwoman has always been promoted in the mammy and jezebel stereotypes. Nobody speaks against #Lizzo's right to be loved as an obese woman, but to promote obesity as "body positivity" is to literally promote death in the black community. In fact, of the top 10 causes of DEATH among #blackpeople, at least 4 of them are related to OBESITY.
