Zaheera K. Hemphill is a native of Buffalo, NY and was a proud Philadlephian for 12 years. She is a proud mother of two little men ages 9 and 11 years. For over 25 years she dedicated her professional life to the role of social worker. Her career of working with families in the field of foster care and trauma, would end in 2017 after years of advocacy and treatment. In 2019, the quarantine ignited passions transforming into Zaheera executing community events curated for the residents of Buffalo, NY. She is a proud business owner of MARY’D, LLC which has hosted events such as the Annual W.E. Inspire Changes Women's Conference, Elite Afternoon Tea, “The Boss” and “Black Boys” Movie Screenings, and Collabs with Pulling the Race Card, LLC. In addition to her LLC, she is the Executive Director of her family’s non-profit entity, Azeem Family Foundation. The foundation has successfully completed a crowd-funding effort for several Minority Changemakers, school aged and college students back to school giveaway, and a 16 year Annual Eid Festival for the city of Buffalo. Outside of developing the events platform, Zaheera is a Momtrepreneur of her sons’ children clothing brand Muzé. This clothing brand is due to expand to manufacturing in the upcoming year. In February 2022, Muzé will host a Children’s Business Fair in collaboration with EforAll in Buffalo, NY. She has served as a Parent Ambassador representing Quba Islamic Institute for the Children’s Scholarship of Philadelphia, Islamic Educator contractor in Buffalo, NY, and is a financial, active member with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Buffalo Alumnae Chapter. Currently, Zaheera is enrolled as a Social Work Doctoral Student with Simmons University where she hopes to apply her leadership skills as a Political Social Worker in the future. In her free time, Zaheera enjoys spending time creating video content supporting Minority and Small businesses which she has supported.
