Zendikar In the Teeth of Akoum by Robert B Wintermute

The narrative centers on Nissa Revane, a powerful Joraga elf planeswalker tasked with protecting her home plane of Zendikar from an overwhelming invasion by tentacled creatures known as the Eldrazi. She reluctantly joins the mysterious human planeswalker Sorin and the vampire archaeomancer Anowon on a desperate quest to reach the Eye of Ugin in the mountains of Akoum. Throughout their perilous journey, the trio navigates the unpredictable environmental chaos of the Roil and fights hostile creatures and factions while trying to evade the Eldrazi hordes. As they travel, Nissa learns that the Eldrazi are beings from other planes, and that Zendikar is actively struggling against their corrupting presence. Upon reaching the ancient prison site, Nissa acts against Sorin, believing his plan will destroy Zendikar, but this action tragically unleashes the three monstrous Eldrazi Titans. Facing the cataclysmic scale of the newly freed creatures, Nissa resolves to abandon her companions and return to her home of Bala Ged to lead the Joraga resistance.
