Happy Valentine’s  Day! Our gift to you is this beautiful spoken word piece, 'Cotton Candy Clouds' written and performed by Lé Lé. Instrumental is, 'Prana' by Handpan Joe aka Coloured Sound. Inspired by Victorian Christmas ghost stories, and A Christmas Carol, 12months 12stories is excited to bring you this holiday season, The Big House. Written by Rebecca Palmer, Performed and Sound Designed by Deborah Wastell. The Big House is a story about a particular journey home one Christmas eve, but also the journey they'll take in to the past, and the lives that came before them. Special thanks to, Jonathan Cobb, Charlotte Clark, Rosie James, Miriam Babooram, Andrew Hobday, and Patrick Lynch.  Please note this story has themes of death, and death by burning. Written and sound designed by Rebecca Palmer. The autumnal equinox is happening on the 23rd September 2023, marking the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. Feeling inspired by the change in seasons, we wondered what would nature tell us if it could? What stories would it share with us? Take sand for instance... what would they talk about given the chance? All those memories imprinted on to their very being, but which ones to share. Recommended 14+ Trigger warnings, mention of suicide, loss of a child, grief, death.

It couldn't possibly be, could it? Am I being silly, or was that the sound of a horse and carriage outside the window? Tapeworm, written by Sam Buss. Performed by Thomas Ghaleb. A man is on the stand in court, his only defence is that the tapeworm in his stomach is responsible for all of his crimes. Try as he might, it is doubtful that anyone will believe him. But is it the truth? Recommended 14+

Paul and Josh have a Kat, and they navigate together parent and carers evenings, Kat's questions (she asks questions because she want's to know the answers) Kat's little sister Lily who has a Claudia... and how they together, as a unit, deal with a Claudia. About adoption and fostering.   Recommended 14+  

All of my Days, written and directed by Sean Matthews. Edited and sound designed by Rebecca Palmer. Performed by Jonathan Cobb. Our man lives just down the road from the local shop, and little do they know that their biggest adventure is also, just around the corner. All of My Days is a story about looking for things in the right places. Specifically written for fans of Hula Hoops crisps... but you can also listen if you hate them. Recommended 14+

Performed by, Callum Tilbury and Lin Sagovsky. When you recognise someone over and over again, but they outwardly change every time you see them, how do you build up the courage to say something? To tell them that you truly see them. That you know who... or perhaps more correctly, know what they are. Trigger warnings - discussions of terminal illness and death  Recommended 14+

'Earwigging' is May's 12months 12stories! Donna is having a cheeky half hour to herself, day dreaming she's on a date with the one and only, Keanu Reeves, when she's distracted by the conversation of the two women behind her. A distraction with embarrassing consequences. Earwigging is a tale as old as time, and Donna falls head over heels for the drama. Recommended 14+ 

Written by Rebecca Palmer, directed and sound designed by Charlotte Ive. Performed by Naomi Cooper-Davis (Charlotte), Jill Stanford (Carol), and Sarah Wanendeya (May). April's 12months 12stories explores family dynamics, and what can happen at a seemingly ordinary get together when unexpected questions are asked. Questions that pull at the very roots of the family, shaking their foundations, exposing them to the past, present and future. Questions that could leave a family broken forever.  Recommended 16+ / Trigger warning - please note there are brief references to miscarriage, and strong language throughout.

Written by Patrick Bayele and performed by Henry Bayele. Paul, a gentle and elderly widower, recounts a supernatural experience from his youth to his carer. As they explore the wonder of his past, a light of hope emerges from the cracks of his broken heart. 

Written, Directed, and Sound Designed by Charlotte Ive. Performed by Holly Barbour. Once a year, the Cailleach, goddess of Winter and Aine, her Summer counterpart, meet for a night before the seasons shift and their parting plays out across nature and our lives. Recommended 14+
