Inside My Acting Journey in New York: Performing, Teaching, and Staying Grateful

Hey Yall,In this episode, I’m sharing some real updates about my life as an actor in New York City. It’s been a full week — from performing to teaching — and I’ve been sitting with all the emotions that come after. I talk about the creative highs, the moments of imposter syndrome that sneak in, and the challenge of slowing down to appreciate where I am right now. Teaching and mentoring my students has given me a whole new perspective on acting, and even though I sometimes feel like I could be doing more, I’m learning to stay grateful for the opportunities in front of me. I also share my excitement about being credited in a film (which doesn’t happen often for background work!) and the reminder that gratitude really is what keeps me grounded through all the ups and downs of this creative life. Please Like and Follow for future content. All my links below ⬇️⬇️https://linktr.ee/AidanMartinez

Faith, Sexuality & Spirituality: 🙌 My Journey with God as a Gay Man

Faith has always been a part of my life, but my relationship with it has changed over the years. I grew up Southern Baptist, but as I got older, certain teachings just didn’t sit right with me. When I came out, I was terrified that being gay meant I was going to hell—until my pastor sat me down and reassured me that Jesus still loved me. That moment gave me peace, but it didn’t erase my struggles with organized religion.During COVID, I tried reconnecting with church, but I never felt truly accepted. I wanted a space that didn’t just imply inclusivity—I wanted to hear it, feel it, and know without a doubt that I was welcomed as I am. After Mom Peggy passed away, my faith shifted again, leading me toward spirituality. Now, I believe in God, but I see Him as a higher power that transcends religion—one that we all connect with in our own ways.In this video, I open up about my faith journey, finding peace outside of organized religion, and what spirituality means to me now. I also include a clip from my podcast with June Marie Davis, where we talk about religion, spirituality, and the ways our loved ones have visited us—Mom Peggy came to me, and her grandma came to her.If you’ve ever struggled with faith, identity, or finding your own path, I hope this video resonates with you. Let’s talk about it in the comments! This keeps it personal, structured, and inviting for discussion.
