Ananda Samgeet in English

English interpretations of Prabhat Samgiit. I transform the lyrics and/or arrangements of South Asian 'Bhajans' for English and Swedish speaking audiences. The source I work with is P. R. Sarkar's famous song cycle 'Prabhat Samgiit'. The sound is quiet, sometimes reminiscent of Nick Drake. The sentiment is always hopeful, even when melancholic. The songs are suited for quiet moments, and naturally leads to a kind of trance or meditation.
