*LIVING SEEDS DEVOTIONALS* (Life Transforming Words) Sunday|Octo. 3rd|21 ******************************* *THE WORKS OF INCARNATION* And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14 (KJV). Before the word was incarnated, the word existed as God in eternity (John 1:1). The word "became" in this verse indicate the fact that the word came into the world in the form of physical flesh at a specific time to in history. Phil 2:6 -7, teaches that Jesus gave up equality with God. However, he didn't give up the total of his deity. To what extent the word gave up being on an equality with God will always be subject to discussion. Though we might not fully understand Jesus giving up the form of God, but we can understand that he became flesh as a man(1John 1:1-2). What John wants us to understand is that the son was not a phantom or spirit that dwelt among men. He became as man. Therefore, in all things He had to be made like his brethren ( Heb. 2: 14;17; Gal 4:4, Rom 3:1). The apostle John was one who saw the glory of the Word made flesh. John was one who gazed on Him in wonder, and worshipped at the feet of Jesus Christ, his Lord and his God. John lived with Him, walked with Him, talked with Him and touched Him, and John spent over three years of his life with Jesus, listening intently to His gracious words and astonished by His amazing truth. Watching Him attentively as He fulfilled the prophetic Scriptures and beholding His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father full of grace and truth. John could proclaim with authority, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us. John saw His glory, the glory as of the eternal God, shining in the face of the Lord Jesus Christ. The sum total of the eternal, omnipotent, infinite glory of God was reflected in Jesus Christ. The combined attributes of the living God were reflected in the human person of the only begotten of the Father. The God-Man, Jesus Christ the righteous. Over and over again, John and the other disciples gazed on the perfection of the sinless Son of Man and the glory that was seen in Him was a reflection of the exact image of the glory of the Father, full of grace and full of truth. The eternal Son of God in the person of the sinless Son of Man was full of God's grace and goodness, which alone qualified Him to become our perfect Saviour. And sacrifice for sin. The incarnate Word of God, made in the likeness of human flesh was also full of truth, which alone qualifies Him to be the perfect source of God's completed revelation. Revelational truth from our Father in heaven came through the eternal Son of God, Who became the perfect Son of Man for in these last day, God has spoken to us through His Son, Whom He appointed Heir of all things, and through Whom also He made the universe. Salvation and grace came through the only begotten Son of the Father, the unique God-Man, Christ Jesus the righteous for by grace are You saved (Eph 2:8-10) through faith in HIM.. and not of works, lest anyone should boast. John_ 1:4(KJV) Since the word was the creator of life, then in him was is both the origin and sustanance of life(John 4:6; Heb 1:3; 1John 5:11). Life is the key word of the entire epistle of John. John wants us to understand that all physical life originate from the word(Jesus). Also that all spiritual life originate from the word. *It is this light that originate from the word who brings light to that which was created* (John 3:19-21; 8:12; 12:35). There is no other sources of life and light than that which originates from the word. *There is no other sources of light that will direct man to the source of life than that which is offered through Jesus* . Jesus said " I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father but through me (John 14:6 Act 4:12). Jesus said again " I am the light of the world. He who follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life (John 8:12). *Therefore without the revelation of the light of God, all men are condemned to sin and death* (Rom 3:9; 10:23; 6:23). Therefore, this verse of the scripture proclaims Christ's role as the giver of eternal life. The writer spent much more time later in his gospel explaining Jesus role in bringing life to mankind. This verse also refers to Jesus using the second of John's seventh names for Jesus "The Light." To a Hebrew, light was the ultimate value. All good things were said to be light, and evil was darkness. Light implies a revealing. *Jesus not only exposes our sinfulness, He illuminates a way to be saved from it.* *Light implies knowledge and awareness, while darkness is ignorance* . For some, darkness is a deliberate choice. They know that what they do is wrong, so they prefer to hide from the truth. Light guides and comforts, but it can be infuriating to someone who wants to stay in the shadows. The light, in this case, is specifically for mankind. Jesus will proclaim Himself as the Light of the world in John 8:12. You need to be in him so the revelation of Jesus can be more exposed to you. Proverb 12:24(KJV) I was on my routine evangelism when i saw a young lady, I saw her walking morning till night, i asked her, is this what you do for a living? and her response was yes Pastor, this is what i do for a living. I was amazed to have find a lady who is not depending on men to survive but depends on her hands. She was diligent in her place of service. *Beloved, There is no short cut in been successful and prosperous in life and destiny* , it takes a diligent hand to be successful in life. The most successful men and women you see today, their secret is diligence and discipline. if you go through their profiles, all you will trace is diligence, i have not seen a lazy hand who eat two square meal per day, rather, they beg before they could feed. A *diligence hand is a discipline hand* . Men and women who are successful today are people whose hands are diligence. The scripture speaking and says seest thou a man who is diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Life does not smile at any one, rather life seems as if it does not appear real when we are been faced with different challenges of life. So will it be for a lazy man. The worth of man is not measured based on who he is but how diligent in his place of business. Several people are not diligent at their place of service, laziness has eaten to the fabrics of thier lives, all they want is gold on their table, *and that is why a lazy hand will never gather any tangible success because he is under a curse of unproductivity* , but a diligent hand is blessed day by day. I have never seen a slothful man who is successful in life and destiny, except if he perverted his ways. God does not reward a lazy man he only rewards diligent man. The scripture speaking in Proverbs 10:4. He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. You dont expect anything good from the life of a lazy hand, as long as he remains lazy, he will always become poor, so likewise as long as a diligence hand is hardworking he will always become more successful. A lazy man does not gather when others are working and gathering crops, Why others wakes very early to their place of works, a lazy man is still on the bed. He who gathers crops in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son. (Prov. 10:5). I have not seen a diligent man becoming poor, because God blesses his efforts. There are fact about a diligent man. The man who is diligent is precious and not slothful, precious at work (prov. 12:24). His hand shall bear rule (prov 12:27). A diligent soul is mad fat (prov 13:4). A diligent person will always excell and be successful in his dealings (prov 22:29). What does it mean to be diligent, it means to be industrious, hard working. Diligent hand is energetic, strong and rugged and dugged. *To be diligent is to confront your task with all available strength in you* . Hunger will always encourages a lazy man to work because each man is responsible to work for himself in order to provide for his own food(prov 16:26). There are suggested ways to be diligent, embrace hard work, give attention to diligence at work, set a productive and achievable target, and rejects laziness always at all cost. I pray God will reward your diligent effort in Jesus name.
