This sign, painted in 1985 by artist Tom Wilde, had become iconic to many residents of Allentown. After it faced destruction in Late 2021, Chris put together an effort to save the sign and move it to a new permanent location where it could be given new life. While working to save the beloved piece of local history, Chris discovered a much deeper story to the sign than was immediately obvious.During our today we peel back the layers of Allentown's hidden history within this sign, and the excellent work Chris has done to save it. Christ Elston Linktreehttps://linktr.ee/elstonOriginal Facebook Posthttps://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10224314077452797&id=1029921230&mibextid=WC7FNeOriginal Twitter Posthttps://twitter.com/celston/status/1433455203450249221?s=46&t=j4FhpD6eq6Anhh8AwJ_AOAART BAZAAR LINKSwww.TheAlternativeGallery.com/PodcastArt Bazaar FB: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550762686547Art Bazaar IG: https://www.instagram.com/artbazaarpodcast/
