Description

Bassism Records and Bassism Radio on Sub.FM (respectively), were founded by Tommy Lexxus. Originally from California, Bassism began as a warehouse rave in 2005. Three years later, Bassism started putting out early classics from the beginning of the Dubstep era. San Francisco being a hub for Bass Music in general, Bassism had prime real estate to pick from the best upcoming artists in the Bay Area. With vinyl and digital on lock, Bassism threw monthly label nights at Underground SF, and The Cellar. Bassism hosted Cyantific and Mathematics at their first SF event, and went on to anchor in serious acts such as Starkey, UFO!, Djunya, FSTZ, Kush Arora, Roommate, Antiserum, SPL, The Bassist, Broke-N, and many more. From the beaches of the West Coast to subways of New York, Tommy got to open for Skream and Joe Nice at the legendary Avalon Club (the old Limelight), before Skream was old enough to drink legally.
