    Meerkats

    The Meerkats that live in the Children's Zoo at the San Francisco Zoo, receive enrichment daily. Eva, one of their keepers tells us a little about this. The Meerkats can be seen in the Meerkat and Prairie Dog exhibit.

    Following the December 2007 tragedy, the San Francisco Zoo's big cats are living inside of the zoo's historic lion house building, while their outdoor grottos undergo upgrades. Amy, one of our carnivore keepers tells us about our comprehensive enrichment program for the lions and tigers.

    Giraffe Calf Bottle-feeding

    Mike Cota, one of our Giraffe Keepers, tells us about the newest addition to the San Francisco Zoo's Giraffe Lodge, while bottle feeding the youngster. This baby Giraffe calf can be viewed at the San Francisco Zoo's Giraffe Lodge and adjacent yards daily, and will soon be on exhibit in the African Savanna.

    Wildlife Theater

    Harrison Edell and Shannon Molacavage give us a peak at what it takes to get our "Back to the Wild" shows at the Wildlife Theater running. Sassafras our Prehensile-tailed Porcupine is featured in this episode of Behind the Scenes. Wildlife Theater shows are performed daily (except Mondays) at 12:00pm and 2:30pm only during the Summer season.
