This audio won Best Hockey Play by Play at the Intercollegiate Broadcasters Association student awards for 2026. This audio was submitted by Johnny Raider, who was named a finalist for Best On-Air Personality at the Intercollegiate Broadcasters Association student awards for 2026. Johnny is a part of several shows on WSUM including Toss the Mic and Rockin' in the Nighttime which are hosted at 7pm and 8pm on Mondays on WSUM 91.7 FM. He is also the Production Director and, in his role, has made many of the PSAs and Underwritings that air as a part of programming. This also won first place for Best Aircheck at the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association student awards in 2026, an award he has won for the third straight year 

This audio was a finalist for Best Morning Show at the Intercollegiate Broadcasters Association student awards for 2026. This was a part of the Percolator, hosted by Daniel Stein and Taylor Wilmot on Sundays from 10 am to 12 P.M on WSUM 91.7 FM

WSUM, the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s student radio station, has been named Best College Station in the Nation by Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS).WSUM students were presented with this award at the IBS conference in New York City on Saturday, February 21, 2026. The following day, WSUM celebrated its 24th year on the air.WSUM was first recognized as Best College/University Station of schools with more than 10,000 students. The IBS Media committee then judged WSUM against all college radio and television stations at schools of any size, and awarded WSUM its highest honor.
