Bobby Bedsole

Psychedelic rock inspired by the video game Death Stranding. I had a lot of fun writing and recording this and am very happy to share it with the world. Just a little tone experiment done in a night's work - be sure to listen to this one loud. I don't know why I named it what I did but I will gladly elaborate on how made it. For the bass I split the signal using a Boss Digital Delay pedal, sent one line to a DI'ed amp modeler and the other to an oversaturated Vox AC30 which I then close miced. I cut most of the highs out of the DI channel and boosted the highs on the miced Vox, then ran both signals through a multiband compressor to glue them together. This got the bass transient super crunchy without losing any low end. For the synth I just found a cool sounding patch, wrote a cool sounding part, and set it in the mix. Finally, guitars I ran my Heath Kit Harmony Rocket (hollow body)directly into a Street Fighting Hamster, into a Big Muff, then into a Diamond Vibrato pedal, ran an additional mic (condenser) on the Vox and did some panning. I think it sounds pretty cool.

I wrote this as a birthday present to myself. The Beatles and The Police are big influencers here. Thanks to Crystal Bedsole for singing on the verses, get it girl.
