In Episode 6, we celebrate one year of the podcast! We talk about our Hari Raya celebrations this year at the iconic Sultan Mosque. We also honour the iconic Warung Nasi Padang Pariaman that closed its doors earlier this year, after 70 years in Kampung Gelam, and our intergenerational friendship with the Pariaman family. In Episode 5, we have a very engaging chat with our long-time neighbour, Mr Saeid Labbafi, the Chairman of the Kampung Gelam Alliance and a very passionate and committed member of the Kampung Gelam business community. While we have had many chats with various Kampung Gelam stakeholders, this is hands down the most inspiring and hopeful conversation we've had about our beloved neighbourhood.Mr Saeid gave us an insightful perspective into his challenges, hopes and visions for keeping the soul of Kampung Gelam alive.There were so many more questions we wanted to ask but we had limited time.
