In the meantime, Victor joins Henry in his study of foreign languages. Victor learns to appreciate life again and all its beauty.

He flees his laboratory, unable to look upon his creation for even a second. In the streets of Ingolstadt, Victor finds his friend Henry Clerval having come to study at the university. Shortly after this Victor falls into a hellish fever over what he has created, Henry stays to nurse him back to health.

Chapter 4 - Frankenstein by Mary Shelley - AUDIOBOOK - Victor fully dedicates himself to studying natural philosophy from all aspects. After feverishly studying cadavers and dead animals Frankenstein discovers the secret to restoring life to a lifeless being. In doing this Victor only studies, neglecting all around him, including the changes of the seasons and his family back home in Geneva.

Chapter 3 - Frankenstein by Mary Shelley - AUDIOBOOK - After the death of his mother from Scarlet Fever, Victor leaves Geneva to attend the University of Ingolstadt. It is here that Victor finds Professor Waldman who introduces him to modern chemistry, which Victor decides to pursue with fervour.

The Captain is fervently set on making it to the North Pole via ship. Most surprisingly, on this voyage the crew find a man alone on the ice in wretched condition. This man is a mystery and a stranger, who in the end decides to relate his tale of woe to the captain.
