We were moved and inspired by our incredible guests doing good in the world in this months show.Debi and Kirsty from @clearairways sharing their knowledge of crucial first aid and their mission to save lives through educating children, young people and adults. Ben from @ronin_pentest who is supporting small business to protect themselves from the threat of cyber attacks. He shared some great takeaways that we can take action on now. James from @careforveteran (very fitting to record the show on remembrance day) who shared how the 102 year old charity is supporting veterans of the past, present and future with their multi discipline programmes and fundraising initiatives.

We had a ball with Jane Peyton from The School of Booze and Heather Barrie from Harries Coffee and My Business Lincs Cafe as we talked about events, connection and this new virtual / hybrid world.Events and how they work has changed beyond belief and these two incredible ladies tell us their stories of adversity during the pandemic and how they overcame this is their businesses.

Totally moved and inspired by the guests on the recording of the @radioreverb Brighton Business Show today.  Lisa and I spoke to: Rick Ackers the founder of the campaign for Justice For Reggie and the work he is doing with local government and selling sites such as @thefridayad to educate buyers on what to look for when buying a dog to work to prevent the terrible conditions that some puppies are being bred and farmed in. On the show we discussed key things for buyers to check and look out for. Caroline Matanle community fundraiser for local charity @whoopsadaisybrighton that supports children with cerebral palsy and the ways in which people can get support and fundraise for the cause. And Michael Ryan, CEO of the organisation @furniturenowsussex helping people across Sussex get access to good quality new and second-hand furniture. 

Three very different guests this month but with an underlying message that passion, determination and connection is key to running a successful business.Elizabeth Ockford - Business Woman, Artist, and designer of Luxury Wallpapers shared her story and how she overcame burnout at the mid part of her career to set up something that she truly loves.Mike Monk - Founder of the Brighton Expo and a man with over 40 years of experience in building businesses explained why Brighton & Hove based businesses should visit the event on Thursday 7th October and why Networking and Mentoring should be high on any business owners list.and finally, Tom Thompson from Arbor Consulting Ltd explained his love of trees and why we should all be aware of these wonderful assets in our community.  A fascinating conversation.

On this month’s Brighton @radioreverb we wanted to find out how businesses have pivoted, survived and thrived in lockdown and beyond and have been totally inspired by our guests.  Gemma Morris Co Founder of @offthewallentertainment We spoke to Gemma about her marquee hire and equipment business and how she pivoted in lockdown in creative ways to be able to serve her customers in their gardens and even live stream church services! Laura Barry From Friday Media Group and Workspee HRM @thefridayad We chatted about how lockdown produced a need for an interactive HR platform that provided everything in one place for not only the employees of the Friday Ad media group but for others businesses too. Vicki Steven Franchise owner for @waterbabies_brighton and Sussex Vicki shared the challenges her business faced in lockdown and inspired us by showing that keeping going can not only bring customers and employees closer together but can provide other opportunities for other businesses by launching her own @templespa zoom parties.

In this month's show Lisa and Helen wanted to talk about Weddings and Events.They interviewed Tania Russell, Wedding and Events Planner for the LGBTQ Community and Floral Designer and Alexandra Harrison a Celebrant.Both ladies tell some great stories about couples that they've worked with and we hear all about helicopters, Top Gun and having 4 Best Men and 4 Best Women.Although recent lockdown restrictions hadn't been lifted as we had all hoped, both Tania and Alex are looking forward to a bust season ahead and to helping couples to have their best day ever.
