The first generation “Nuyorican” grew up in a musical family, influenced by everything from the sounds of ‘90s R&B and Hip Hop, to the classic bolero music his father would sing & play around the house. This musical upbringing led to a career as an in-demand session singer and live vocalist in New York, working with the likes of the Roots, Shawn Mendes, Lorde, Lisa Lisa and many others.His own music blends R&B, Funk & Hip-Hop with afro-latin rhythms in a style he refers to as “sancochofunk” (sancocho=stew or gumbo); infusing an often tongue-in-cheek lyrical approach with a highly percussive and magnetic stage show.
