The K to 12 Program covers Kindergarten and 12 years of basic education (six years of primary education, four years of Junior High School, and two years of Senior High School [SHS]) to provide sufficient time for mastery of concepts and skills, develop lifelong learners, and prepare graduates for tertiary education, middle-level skills development, employment, and entrepreneurship. It is indeed a very relevant topic since the year it was implemented. One of its objectives talks about the employment capabilities of the future senior high school graduates. It also focuses on being globally competitive. For this episode, we will talk about that matter together with a professional. Louie Angelo R. Guarte has been a social science teacher for 3 years. He will explain in this episode the concept of K to 12 curriculum, the possible work of senior high school graduates, and the preferability of the students to work abroad rather than here in the local firms.
