We are very excited we got to talk with the author duo Ellis Hunter about their debut romantasy Blood Bound.This book takes the mate trope to a new level, that is long overdue. Dual POV of Skylar and Astrid as they navigate having to battle one another to the death in order to secure magical rites for their respective peoples. Astrid is a witch from the Witch Queendom and Skylar is a vagabond from the Dragon Rider kingdom. Excellent unseen plot twists and a very sexy slow-burn. This book gets a 2.5 on the pumpkin spice meter. (We heard from the authors that book two is gonna ramp up the spice level!)

The Off Campus series is coming to Amazon Prime this month so we are re-releasing our episode talking about The Deal by Elle Kennedy. This is a spicy hockey romance we can't wait to see how they bring it to the screen. So read the book and listen to our episode to get ready the watch! Romantasy lovers you are in for a treat, Madeline Taylor is chatting with us on this episode about her debut book, "Heir of Illusion". This book is so good! We talk about how as romantasy readers we think we've read it all, but we keep being delighted to discover more great reads. Madeline's book is one of those. Her FMC Iverson is trapped by a magical collar and the MMC Thorne is excruciatingly handsome with wings and a dark demeanor. We can't wait for more in this trilogy!

This is a special actor series episode with Simmi Singh. Simmi is in Cait's indie film "Venice Days"--set amongst the wild characters of Venice Beach, a widowed father on the right side of addiction finds himself with only 24hrs from the driver's seat of his van to secure custody of his young son. The movie is not a romance, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is a family drama Bollywood romance and we're talking about it on this episode. And we've got Simmi coming back in a little over a month to talk about the romance book, A Bollywood Affair by Sonali Dev.

Cait has FINALLY read "Fourth Wing" by Rebecca Yarros. (The gaul she had starting a romance and romantasy podcast having not read it...) To celebrate we have actor Sarah Drew joining us. You know Sarah from Grey's Anatomy, Mistletoe Murders and How She Caught a Killer to name a select few. Sarah stars in Venice Days a nonprofit indie feature that Cait's husband wrote and directed. But most importantly she is a diehard romantasy fan! (She had to give it up for lent--that is serious folks.) Listen in on our delightful conversation about dragons and Xaddy's.

We're re-airing our episode with author Joss Richard because her amazing debut book "It's Different This Time" is in the Canada Reads debate on CBC happening this week April 13-16! This is truly one of our favorite books. Also, Joss was our first author interview which is a very big deal! This is the sexiest book. The chemistry between Eva and Shane is off the chain! It had Court dreaming about her hot Black husband--wait? Her husband is hot but he's not Black...Cait has since changed her identity to sexy Black Brooklyn maven--this is true. The structure of this book is amazing and the pace will have you feeling all the heady feels of teen love paired with adult realities. We also love the meta element of both leads being authors and Eva being a romantasy author! This book is a must read. Even your friends who don't enjoy romance need to read this one. Do yourself a favor and listen to the epic playlist curated by Reese's Book Club.

It's Spring! Baseball season is upon us, so let's celebrate like true romance girlies and read on theme! Catch Her If You Can by Tessa Bailey is a great spicy spring romance. The FMC is sassy and so interesting. The MMC is a hot Irish baseball player...enough said. This book will leave you feeling empowered to own your feminine sex appeal, prudes be damned!

What happens when a young Fae woman gets dropped into a new world, a world where vampires reign supreme? Obviously, she immediately gets bonded to a morally grey highborn vampire male and has to learn the ways of this world in a Dark Academy. Almost forgot, she is a dragon rider and the dragons have been gone from this world for a very long time, but now...one awakens. We're covering the first two books in this 4 book romantasy series, because book three just released!

The follow up book to BK Borison's "Next Caller" is so good, we think it might be better than it's predecessor. That's saying a lot! This book reads like a perfect rom com. It's a perfect romance for cozy winter months. We're talking forced proximity in a snowstorm slow-burn...

One of our Producers, book influencer, Canasia Ngo, told us to stop everything and read this book: Daggermouth by H.M. Wolfe. So that's what we just did, seriously, we haven't had a stop the presses moment like this since "Heated Rivalry" in December. This book is true enemies to lovers dystopian romantasy that is sexy as hell. If you're looking for a book to channel your feminine rage, this is it.

In this episode we get to talk with author Stephanie Archer about her latest book: The Wild Card! But since we've got Stephanie with us we of course have to cover her whole Vancouver Storm series. This is a fabulous series of cozy hockey romance books. Not to be confused with "Heated Rivalry" these are straight romances, but they have just as much to do with "hockey"...

Sexy Vampires are back! Along with a host of other magical creatures that all manage to co-exist in a way that makes sense and is thoroughly enjoyable in this hot new gladiator battle style romantasy by Stacia Stark. This one is a fun wild ride that is an uncompleted series BUT the end of this book feels like an ending--you're not left hanging by a pinky finger off a cliff.

It's Black History month and we wanted to make a point of highlighting a Black romance author. So we picked "A Tropical Rebel Gets the Duke" which was on the NYPL's best of 2025 list; won the "Book I'm Still Thinking About" award at the 2025 Bookish Awards; and was an instant bestseller. It is that good! We get spice right away and a rewarding history lesson. The Duke is seriously hot and Aurora is the sassy rebel we all desire to be--this woman has gumption in spades.

A Little Buzzed by Alys Murray is the most refreshing romance we've read in a while. This episode we get to talk with the incredibly accomplished author about her awesome new book. Reading this book will have you ready to buy a few new sex toys...We talk about Mardi Gras release dates, 25cent Martini's, imposter syndrome and hot MMCs. The name Hudson is having a moment...

In this episode we're talking about "Heated Rivalry" the show vs the book with our friend Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman. Jeffrey identifies as Queer and was a judge on Ru Paul's Drag Race All Stars. Big news, we're so excited: we have an instant holiday classic discovery! Christmas Fling by Lindsay Kelk is so much fun, in a castle, in the Scottish Highlands, with a hot 6'4" Scot and our FMC is a neurosurgeon. You will be laughing out loud and devouring every minute. The audio book is excellent, the playlist is pure holiday joy and we loved it all!

This book reads like a Christmas Hallmark movie, but with spice! We needed the spice in this one. Key take aways: Does anyone know the name of the girl in The Nutcracker? We're kind of on the mom's side when it comes to fancy holiday decorations.December has just started and already were drowning in our to do lists and TBRs!

We have a new favourite holiday read to talk about: Good Spirits by B.K. Borison brings a ghostly boyfriend to our realm and we're here for it. This is so much more than just another play on A Christmas Carol, trust us, you will be pleasantly surprised by the ride this story takes you on. Grab a cup of peppermint tea and cozy up by the tree it's holiday romance reading season.

We finished "Brimstone" by Callie Hart and now we're talking about all of it! Which of our theories came true and what surprised us. Also, we have more theories after that ending...Ugh, can't believe we have to hang on now until the third book comes out. Does anyone know how long we'll be waiting?

Alchemised by SenLin Yu is a major new release and we had to talk about it. It's a Dark Fantasy that is Romantasy adjacent. Definitely not a Romance novel. But it is a masterpiece and we are forever changed having read it. Major trigger warnings on this episode.
