Watch What You Say. Your Thoughts Are Speaking.
Your thoughts are impacting more than you know, so it is important to monitor your thinking. Watch what you think because they affect your beliefs, what you say and do every day. Your thoughts directly impact the habits that create suffering or joy in your life. While you cannot control everything, what lives rent-free in your head is your responsibility, and some stinking thinking needs to be evicted! Watch your thinking.

Let Go of Your Attachment to the Pain
Imagine you holding on tightly to a rope. At the other end of the rope are your afflictions. Put a face to the pain. Who do you see? Now ask yourself, why are you still holding on to them? Letting go of that rope gives you the freedom to live fully. Holding on will keep you rooted in hopelessness, anger, or defeat. Let it go. Let them go and embrace hope and joy again.

The Forgiveness Debate: Essential or Harmful?
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! This is Marsha Kerr Talley, and I want to give a special shout out to everyone who tunes into Candid Conversations with Marsha. We've been having some amazing in-depth conversations lately. Last week, I spoke to Sian Hill, a therapist who shared various strategies to help people reconnect with themselves and heal from emotional traumas. The week before, Natasha Henry joined us to discuss mental illness, sharing her personal story and offering strategies for coping. Tomorrow, we are diving into the benefits of forgiveness in the healing journey. This topic has sparked a surprising amount of debate, with some believing forgiveness is unnecessary or even harmful. I was shocked to learn that some therapists and counselors advocate against forgiveness, claiming it can re-traumatize individuals. In my healing journey, forgiveness was pivotal. I believe it is a necessary part of moving forward, though I acknowledge it may look different for everyone. Unfortunately, a guest who held an opposing view felt too triggered to continue our conversation on the podcast. We will have other guests, therapists from the States and the UK, to further explore this topic in the coming weeks. This discussion will also be part of my upcoming course on the healing process. Stay tuned to Candid Conversations with Marsha and check out my blog for more on the benefits of forgiveness. Join us tomorrow at noon for our live stream, and we may also have a later time to accommodate our US guests. I'm excited to see how these episodes assist you in your healing journey. Drawing upon experiences in interviewing entrepreneurs and networking with various business owners, authors, and influencers, Marsha reflects on the unique dynamic of each relationship, and how some connections grow strong despite differences, while others fail because of deeply-seated, irreconcilable differences. Marsha highlights on the concept of 'reciprocity' in relationships, which means there is a mutual exchange of value. Just as in nature, there is a time for giving and a time for receiving. True, healthy relationships abide by this balance. If one finds themselves constantly giving and never receiving, it's a certain red flag, and such relationships need reassessment. On a final note, Marsha wraps up the episode by reminding listeners of their worth, emphasizing that all relationships in their life should add value rather than take away. Whether it be your peace, joy, or overall comfort, the right relationships should bolster these aspects rather than undermine them. Marsha encourages her listeners to make the tough decisions, and to remember they are well within their rights to choose who they associate with. This thought-provoking episode will inspire you to evaluate the relationships in your life and to make choices that preserve your time, resources, and mental health.
