The Baby from Krypton is the famous first episode ofThe Adventures of Superman Old Time Radio series, which debuted in 1940.  The episode details Jor-El sending infant Kal-El (Superman) to Earth as Krypton explodes.  He is found and raised by the Kents, eventually becoming the legendary Superman.
