This appendix to the 1580 edition of the Book of Concord presents a rich tapestry of Scripture passages alongside citations from the revered fathers of the ancient Christian Church. Its purpose is to demonstrate that the Christology articulated in the Formula of Concord remains steadfastly aligned—both in substance and terminology—with the core tenets of Christian Orthodoxy.
