The explosion of Mixed Martial Arts has brought attention to many individuals that would not otherwise be in the spotlight. Many of these fighters have stories of overcoming challenges both inside and outside the combat arena. UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championships), Bellator, or Strikeforce are the large MMA organizations that fight fans and the general public hears about every day. Many smaller local organizations work hard every day to bring light to talented and deserving athletes before they make their debut on the big shows. Battlefield Fight Leauge is one of these organizations located in Western Canada. BFL was established in May of 2010 and has been the premier Combat Sports League in British Columbia ever since.
