Dilemma and Resolution, my second EP with four new songs is finally out. Please listen via Spotify and purchase via apple itunesI was born in Britain but grew up between the worlds in Germany. Influences are mostly alternative rock and singer/songwriter sensibilities. I am also interested in electronic music and noise, some of which finds its way into my music. For me songs develop in the studio. It can start with a melody or chord progression on guitar or piano, then the first lines of text come. When it starts to make sense I take it to the studio. I love producing and mixing!! This is where the magic happens.I perform all instruments, except where stated otherwise. For lyrics and artworkhttps://www.tumblr.com/blog/christopherlivingsFor videos (music videos and other documentaries)https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCM0Z1d28orZ1GyRcODynVbQ/videosSpotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/artist/6As3u4wBZ6oYwNuFbTQXr9Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/christopherlivings/Facebookhttps://w

Five Miles High
Five Miles High I am five miles high I am five miles low I’m not ready to stay I’ve got nowhere to go Easy like snow falling down Falling like snow falls in the cold April sun I could go anywhere but I’d stay Tomorrow may be a much better day Falling like rain falling down Falling like rain falls in the warm April sun Don’t rain on my parade Sun shines on a rainy day I am five miles high I am five miles low I’m not ready to stay I’ve got nowhere to go Easy like snow falling down Falling like snow falls in the cold April sun Don’t rain on my parade Sun shines on a rainy day Sun shines on a rainy day Written, performed and produced by Christopher Livings

Wash Me Away
Wash Me Away The church bells chime one last time The wind picks up before it dies down It brushes through the streets of this old town These memories won’t bring us down And while a summer comes that might as well be our last I trick myself into believing I am wiser than in the past And so I’m waiting for the waves to come crashing in And I know I’m only dreaming this old dream Wash me away Take me away Let me begin all over again Wash me away So now I’m watching from a thousand miles away And I wonder could there be a better day The dark clouds gather and the mighty rain begins I just hope that I can wash away my sins Wash me away

Church
Church This song started as a jam session between me and Lutz and evolved into a deep and harrowing visit to the mythical river Styx that evokes images of spirits, ghosts and demons knocking on the hull of the little boat we floated down the river with. Written and performed by Christopher Livings & Lutz Bolinius

Driving Home
Driving Home I am driving home to the place where I belong postcards from friends I hold them in my hand roads go on for miles they expand and they compress until I reach that door to the place where I belong and I’m home and I’ll stay at least until I have to go away I feel like a sailor who shipped the seven seas I was a spaceman in outer space satellites and far far worlds was it something that impressed you something that I said this is my name this is who I am And I’ll wait until I’m home at least until I have to go away I always thought that time was cruel but it’s indifferent that those who play by the rules don’t always win in the end And while we stumble the world is looking away while what we used to love just fades away driving home A handwritten note on an old envelope to tell my future self how I felt never really home always on the run and I dreamt I would be free and one day I would be so I drive until I’m home at least until I have to go away something happens that I just cannot explain seems like the other cars are coming my way colours and shapes of the world fall into place peacefully drifting along at least for today Driving home written, performed and produced by Christopher Livings
