Episode 4: Jennie Gyllblad (Artist). Creating the Storyworld

Artist Jennie Gyllblad talks about turning Clockwork Watch from a written story into an illustrated Pandora's Box. Her work on this project has styled everything from the live events, individual characters, and even role players. Jennie created a different voice and tone for each of the narrative arc that she has illustrated, which in turn has influenced many parts of the storyworld. In this podcast we debate about the very first steps that she took to help define Clockwork Watch, how she connected with Corey Brotherson and the story, and the process of developing a style that has helped her grow as an artist. Episode 3. Corey Brotherson (Editor / Writer of Clockwork Watch)

Corey Brotherson (writer / editor) talks about his first meeting with Yomi, and Clockwork Watch. They reminisce about the early years and how the story pivoted from film script to comic book, touching on the trials and tribulations of raising funds for the project, winning their first award, and how they are the only two black self-published creators that have tabled at San Diego Comic Con for 10 consecutive years.
