EP 225 - Draftermath VI
Some year’s a Draft has a little bit of everything, other times the drama of teams making big swings is replaced by something else... This year that something was a number of teams quietly going about their business, ‘letting the Draft come to them’ and landing some potentially Franchise changing talent! So in the episode the guys break down just who those Winners are in ‘26, with a reoccurring theme being that a number of teams that have struggled for years may have given themselves every chance of finally turning that corner. So, settle in for some Draft chatter and much more, including a quiz question for the ages! Thanks for listening...and good luck out there Panther's Guy.

EP 223 - 'Newbie QB's' and Our Review of Free Agency
Hi everyone, it has been a while. But the guys are back as promised with their views on ahead-scratching Free Agency in 2026. In a season where over $4b has been spent, just who (if anyone) has got stronger? In this episode we’ll cover the QB’s making waves, theOffensive stars on the move and the Defensive guys who fanbases hope just may just be the missing piece for their franchise. All this….plus Rob calling the Vegas Raiders the OaklandRaiders….again.Enjoy!

EP 222 - A 'Walker' in the Park for Seattle
Superbowl 60 was a strange beast, in that a great performance from the Seahawks didn't quite translate into being a great game. While the game wasn't an instant classic, this week the guys cover the elements of the Seattle and New England performances that not only played a part in deciding how the game was won and lost - but also suggested both teams are well set up for bright futures. All this, plus the quiz question you know and love. Thanks for listening - and a great season. See you all on the bounce!

EP 221 - The Patriots 'Maye' Need a Little Luck
So, we know that sports media is currently a wash with all things NFL at the moment, but if you are a regular listener the guys thought it might be nice for them to share their 'two-cents' on what might just happen in sports biggest game!In this meandering pod, the guys chart the rise to the top for both the Seahawks and Patriots – but then most importantly discuss just who might be lifting a Lombardi by circa 4am UK time Monday morning. Whereas some of the discussion predicts a one-sided win for Seattle, the guys also take time to breakdown the impact of Drake Maye in year two and Coach Vrabel in year one at the Patriots….and consider whether a win for the Pats here could be the first on a number in the years ahead...All this plus a hastily prepared (yet perfectly reasonable) quiz question, in ‘No Google, All Noodle’.Enjoy the game everyone.

EP 220 - The Big Snow then the Big Show
So, the weekend gave us much to talk about, but moreimportantly it gave us the confirmation of the two teams who will be fighting it out for a Lombardi in just a few weeks time. But before the guys start talking Seahawks and Patriots, this week is a thorough look through the tussles that were the AFC and NFC Championship Games. In AFC terms the chat is simple, beyond the lack of spectacle in the Patriots win over the Broncos, how much was down to the weather and how much was a tale of two teams struggling to get going on the big stage? On the NFC side the strength of the two contenders was unquestionable…but Sam Darnold made a statement and took him one game away from the ultimate redemption story taking Seattle through against the Rams! The guys also discuss whether Matt Stafford might yet have one last ride to cap a glorious NFL career. All this, plus some quizzing…and an event in the Pick’Emsthat may never be repeated…Thanks for dropping in.

EP 219 - Does 'Broke Nix' Make it Anyone's Year?
The Divisional Round was a week of shocks, as many of the favourites found themselves on the wrong end of shocking scorelines. While Josh Allen and the Bills miss out on silverware again, they also find themselves searching for a new Head Coach, while the Bears bow out after a rollercoaster season, still holding their heads high. Elsewhere the remaining teams have very differing outlooks. Although the Broncos journey on, they do so without their star QB, meaning the Patriots are surely in the box seat to be the AFC’s representative in the biggest game in sports, but what about the NFC? The Seahawks and Rams both have the form and firepower that means they will fancy their chances to go at least one step further…So, this week there’s all this, plus a stunning quiz question for the whole family to enjoy! Thanks for checking in.
-

EP 218 - Cheese Gratin’ and Comeback Makin’
Well, rarely is a week in the NFL quiet, but this week the hits just kept on coming!Whether it was the Bears amazing come back against the rival ‘Cheeseheads’ the Packers, or the news that Mike Tomlin was departing after 19 years as coach of the Steelers, it felt every fanbase had something to be interested or excited about. So this week the guys try and cover all the ground, reviewing an amazing Wildcard Week that saw close wins for not just the Bears, but also the Rams, Bears, 9ers and Pats….right through the to goings on as Head Coaches were fired and hired around the league in a manic few days. All this plus a quiz question that might not be the best, but the answer might just blow your mind! Thanks for checking us out.

EP 217 - You Play Stupid Games, You Win Stupid Prizes
The regular season ends, the Playoff contenders are confirmed, but as is so often the way after ‘Black Monday’ it is the coaches who’ve been fired who dominate the headlines. So in a week where the Seahawks won against the high flying 49ers and the Steelers left it late to beat the Ravens, join us as we instead discuss the uncompetitive Falcons, Browns and Giants and whether new coaches will change their fortunes next year...As well as this we also have time to look ahead to a truly wild 'Wildcard Week', and discuss if the Bills have the perfect opportunity with no Chiefs in the Playoffs, or whether they'll fall to the Jags and be left to watch the rest of the Playoffs from the comfort of their sofas. Thanks for listening, we hope you enjoy it!

EP 216 - Suddenly the 49ers are Looking Purdy Good!
It all comes down to this, kind of.So this week the regular season comes to a close and there are still a number of teams who need to win to-be-in. But beyond those stories there are also some teams who get to head into the Playoffs by putting down a marker and maybe even grab home field advantage in the process. Amongst these teams are the 49ers, a team ravaged by injuries early in the season to such an extent that their record seems to be a surprise to many. However after a great showing against the Bears last time out, Brock Purdy and company are currently looking like they could be a match for anyone. This week’s ‘anyone’ is Sam Darnold and the Seahawks, another team possibly not fancied early in the year who are heading into meaningful January football looking red hot in the process. Could we have a 'Game of the Season' contender on our hands? As well as all that, the guys have time to consider just how bad it could get in Detroit….and answer a quiz question for good measure.Happy New Year all, thanks for listening.
-
213
EP 215 - Are the Bears 'Indy' Playoff Mix?
So, it’s official, those teams we didn’t believe in early doors are now 100% confirmed in the Playoffs…but while the Seahawks and Rams have spent all year proving us wrong, the guys are now looking at those teams who are still slightly under the radar, but could yet have a big say on how the 2025 season unfolds. Chief amongst these teams are the Texans - on a seven-game win streak no less – and the Bears, who despite considering a move to Indiana, are current delighting fans in Chicago with Caleb Williams starting to look every bit the generational talent we were promised he’d be coming out of college! But how much further can they go?All this, plus a Steelers Special from JB, as he finally picks a game so one sided that he feels no guilt whatsoever putting them into a suitably festive Club Dub.Thanks for listening all. Merry Christmas 😊

EP 214 - Is Tua Finished as a Fin?
The end of the season is a time of excitement for certain fanbases, the play-offs draw nearer and fans can dream… For others though, once out of contention the end of the season can be a time of experimentation as owners think ahead to the big off season decisions they may be forced to make.Nowhere is this messy phase better encapsulated than in Miami, where a superstar QB on truly superstar money will be benched this week, so the guys discuss 'Is the end for Tua?' and if so what else awaits? All this plus Rams, Broncos and Jags chat as they blaze a trail towards the biggest showdown in sports.Enjoy!
-
211
EP 213 - A Good Time for Old Timers
In a week where Rodgers and Stafford continued to turn back the clock, younger QB’s falling to injury means we could soon be adding Phillip Rivers to that list of aging stars in the NFL. Not only are this week’s storylines headlined by ageing play-callers, remarkably the playoffs could yet be shaped by their ability to keep performing too!In a packed show the guys also talk about whether the Bills or Patriots are the high water mark in the AFC, and if the Panthers can be considered contenders in the opposing conference? All this, plus the features you love. Thanks for listening.
-
210
EP 212 - The Cracks are Beginning to Show, and That’s Just the Hosts
Well, a few weeks ago who saw the Bears and the Pats leading each conference? Not these guys. But now they are here, the question becomes - are they legit? To be fair to each Franchise, these aren’t the only teams with great records who are still not contenders in the eyes of many, you can add the Jags and even the under-performing Eagles to that list. So where do we go from here? This week the guys try to work out who are the real deal, and whether in the weeks to come the Bills, Rams’ Lions and Eagles might work their way back to the summit – and into genuine Superbowl contention. So this week you have all of this, plus some awkward exchanges that suggest there may be a power struggle going on amongst your favourite podcast presenters….plus a quiz question or two.Enjoy!

EP 211 - The Week the Bills were Humbled by Mills
Welcome back, great to have you listening in to all things Club Dub, in another week where storylines keep shifting along with the perceived heroes and villains. While Week 12 delivered some stunning comebacks, it also delivered it’s fair share of shocks, including the Bills and their demolition at the hands of the improving Houston Texans. One of the questions for the guys this week is whether David Mills and the Texans can keep this up and trim the gap at the top of the division when they face the pace-setting Colts? It is not the only big game, with the Seahawks and Vikings showdown also being singled out as a game with serious Playoff implications. There’s all this, plus a Detroit Lions themed 'Toughest Quiz question in all of Podcasting'.Thanks for listening, liking and subscribing – and Feedspot for totting up the ‘x’s and ‘o’s!

EP 210 - It Maye Be New England's To Lose?
With the midpoint of the season now behind us, games seem to somehow mean more down the stretch – and with so many teams in the mix (or at least with an outside chance), almost every fanbase can still dream.Dreaming again are Patriots fans, who find their team on a roll with Drake Maye under center, looking ever more likely to not only make the Playoffs, but do so as division winners. With other front runners winning games narrowly, do the guys think the Pats have the edge over the likes of the Eagles and Broncos?Along with that chatter, the talk also turns to the mid pack, and discussions around the Jags and Panthers. Could these teams find the consistency that could incredibly give them a shot at meaningful January football? All this, plus the usual bits of this and that. Thanks for listening!
-
207
EP 209 - Is the NFC West Actually the NFC Best?
Come on in everyone, the water is warm! This week our usual trio drops to two, as just Rob and JB are left holding the fort. Given the keys to the kingdom it is not long until all chatter leads to the question on everyone's lips....are the teams in the NFC West really the guys to beat? The Rams and Seahawks both beat divisional rivals last week, but this week's tilt could tell us more than who has bragging rights in the West - and may give us a clue to who could be in the Superbowl come February?Talking of Superbowl's, listeners are also making their predictions, so the other big debate is around the Saints and just what the future holds for New Orleans. All this, plus the usual stuff. Thanks for listening!
-
206
EP 208 - Always in the Nix of Time
Welcome back everybody to more chatter about the rollercoaster that is the NFL in 2025.This week the jibber-jabber not only focuses on some of the most amazing games of the year so far (we're looking at you Bears and Bengals) but also which teams are beginning to look like the Playoff locks come the end of the regular season. As we hit halfway, you may say there is time for everything to change, but one debate tops all others this week for the guys and it centres on the Denver Broncos. With their smoothering defense, winning low scoring games late has been the script recently, but is that a sign things could quickly fall over - or a sign that they have the formula to go all the way with Bo Nix at the helm? All that, plus the usual.Have a good week all!
-
205
EP 207 - Are Houston Really in a Great State?
Another week rolls by, but as midseason approaches are we finally starting to see the cream of the crop rise to the top? We know we are mixing our phrases, but it rhymed, right…So as a number of results each week continue to shock and surprise, the Chiefs, Bills and others are slowly growing into their label of legit contenders, (again) but with Lamar back under centre are Baltimore also ready to start their Playoff push? As well as debating the Week 8 rumblings, the guys also have time to ask questions like ‘Are the Texans the next great NFL dynasty?’….it may surprise you to know the group is torn on exactly what the answers is.All this plus the quizzing and features you all love.Enjoy!
-
204
EP 206 - Guess Who's Dak?
Another week means we again get on the merry-go-round to decide who might actually be a good team in 2025. This week it seems to be the turn of the Dallas Cowboys. A few weeks into the season it might not have looked on the cards, but suddenly Dak Prescott and Company look to have turned a corner and might just be in the mix.On the flip side we review how on earth the Giants might recover after a heart-breaking game against the Broncos, where the grasped defeat from the jaws of victory.Elsewhere the guys dig into the stores from around the league and answer the tough questions, like is RB1 actually one word, or three? All this, plus the features you all mildly enjoy. Thanks for listening.
-
203
EP 205 - Baker Late Than Never
Well, last week we said the NFL was nothing if unpredictable, so if that trend continues I guess at least the unpredictability is the one thing you can predict, right? After another round of shocks and surprises the guys have a lot to unpack this week, including attempting to answer tough questions like, why did so many teams pass on MVP chasing Baker Mayfield, are the Falcons truly contenders in the NFC, could the Patriots be back to being a league juggernaut…and how are the Panthers at .500?All this plus all the features you love, including a painful toughest quiz question in ‘No Google, All Noodle’.Thanks for listening, see you next week.

EP 204 - No Pick, All Mix
Well, in a podcast where we regularly try to separate the best from the rest, the NFL is known for occasionally wrong footing us, but Week 5 was a next level experience! The form book was thrown out of the window as we were treated to a slate where the shocks and surprises just kept on coming! Trying to make sense of it all is possibly impossible, but there are some questions the guys try and wrestle with, including is there really a crisis in Baltimore and is it the end of an era for the Chiefs?Looking ahead to Week 6, the guys journey through the highlights amongst a great looking slate of games, but try more precisely to understand which teams – if any - can be trusted to deliver a ‘dubbya’ when Sunday rolls around. Thanks for listening.

EP 203 - Let’s Get This Dart-y Started
Another scarcely believable week in the National Football League, once again proving on any given Sunday, anything can happen. This week taking the prize was the New York Footballing Giants, led past the pace setting Los Angeles Chargers by their rookie sensation at QB, Jaxson Dart. Whether this is a sign the Giants are turning a corner is yet to be seen, but with much of the league yet to truly find form, anything is possible.Alongside trying to wrestle with the topic of just who are pretenders and who are contenders, the guys also break down just how bleak it might get for the Bengals as they head to face the red-hot Lions in Detroit. All this, plus another banger of a quiz question. Enjoy it!

We hope you enjoy!

EP 192 - Love Hurts!
Well hi everyone. To end our season we are getting the band back together one more time and reviewing a Superbowl that will be talked about for generations!A dominant Eagles display not only put an exclamation mark on their season, but felt like it may well have ended a dynasty in the process. While Mahomes and Co. may be left thinking what might have been, Hurts and his charges look forward to parades, the Whitehouse and wearing those rings. In true Club Dub style there is also time for the toughest quiz question in all of podcasting....and a shock rumour that may see one of the team heading to daytime TV?!?!?Thanks for listening.See you in a few weeks for all things 'The Draft!'

EP 191 - The 'Three Time, Three Time, Three Time'?
Well, all roads have led to this...and even in the most unpredictable season in years we could not avoid the one inevitable truth, the Chiefs are in position to win it all, again...again... That's because Kansas City are on the verge of history and becoming the first NFL franchise to win three straight - the fabled 'Three-Peat'. While making the game is an achievement no other 'double winners' in NFL history have ever matched, the next step is certainly not a formality, as the Chiefs face an Eagles team playing their best football at the best possible time. For those of you in Listener Land thinking this might be a game too close to call, fear not, your intrepid pod hosts will go beyond the hyperbole and give you the only answer you need - telling you who will be lifting the Lombardi in New Orleans....almost certainly....maybe. We've all that plus the features you love. Thanks for checking in. Enjoy the game!
-
188
EP 190 - The 'Not The One We Want' Week
It is a weird time in the NFL where teams celebrate and lift storied trophies aloft only to then proclaim 'This isn't the one we want'. It is of course because although this weekend crowned Conference winners, the next game is the one that truly matters with the Lombardi on the line. Following the weekend's games, we know we will see Kansas City face off against Philly in a game that could re-write history and see the Chiefs become the league's first evert 'three-peat', but before we get there why not let the guys tell the stories of how this weekend broke down. Not only will the pod give you all this, there's also the rest of your favourite features - including a banger in 'No Google, All Noodle'. Stay safe out there. Thanks for listening.

EP 189 - It's Not For T-shirts, It's For Trophies
You know the season is really reaching the sharp end when the winners get trophies and not just t-shirts! This week sees the NFC and AFC Championship Games contested as we learn who will compete for the Vince Lombardi Trophy in just a few short weeks. The conferences deliver differing events, on the NFC side Washington are the surprise package against division rivals the Eagles, whereas the AFC delivers us a pretty much best-on-best encounter between the Bills and the Chiefs. For those out there in Listener Land wondering where these games might be won and lost there is simply one thing you need to do, hit play - then don't touch that dial. Thanks for listening, see you on the other side!
-
186
EP 188 - It's the Mild Card Round
Although there were good games and a fair share of the sprinkling of dramatic moments only Playoff Football can deliver, the debate this week amongst the guys is was the Wild Card Round....well, wild? The lack of tight games maybe stopped this year's entry being a classic - but what it did do was set up a number of barnstorming ties in the Divisional Round. Join us as the guys break down who will progress and who is sofa bound - with more than a few surprises along the way. All this, plus THE toughest quiz question in all of podcasting. Enjoy!
-
185
EP 187 - 7 Months of Sunday's Without Scott, Starts Now
The regular season ended in less dramatic fashion than in previous years, but that didn't stop a few teams putting in statement performances that changes the views of owners, front offices and Playoff chances! The above description tells you all in Listener Land that there's a lot to cover, and the guys have got you covered. This week there is a recap on the games from Week 18, a bumper News section including some top opinions on those coaches who lost their jobs - and those who inexplicably didn't! Then, the guys review all 6 games from the Wildcard Weekend...what more could you ask for? Well, there's the toughest quiz question in all of podcasting in another 'No Google, All Noodle', so there's that.... Thanks for checking us out!

EP 186 - Detroit Must Not Fluff Their Lions...
The final week of the season is so often a fond farewell to Redzone while us viewers watch countless dead-rubbers with back-ups taking snaps everywhere you look....but not this year. With the No1 seeding in the NFC up for grabs, we are expecting a battle for the ages between the Vikings and the Lions. While the Lions have looked the best team in football for most of 2024, does the list of injuries mean Minnesota have a chance to not only cause an upset, but also steal a bye week and home field advantage in the Playoffs? All this, plus we talk the resurgence of the Giants and the Raiders! Enjoy!

183
EP 185 - Ma-ho-ho-homes Night as the Texans Don’t Hold ’Em
The NFL invested a lot in their 2024 Christmas experience - games on Netflix available to a global audience of over a billion people, shiny studios filled with household names as talking heads and even a spectacular musical extravaganza that might have even out-shone some of the great acts in Superbowls gone by…yet who were the stars shining brightest at Christmas? Only Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, of course. So, this week the guys ask whether the Ravens are really ready to mix it with the Bills – and whether either of these units can topple the Chiefs on their run to a three-peat? Along with this, there’s the usual quizzing and jibber-jabber you’d expect. Thanks for another year of listening and a Merry Chrimbo all.
-
182
EP 184 - Why Aren't the Colts 'Indy' Playoff Picture?
So, Week 15 was everything a football fan could want. Even in defeat the Lions looked near awesome, the Bills continued to be a force and of course the chasing pack looked pretty capable too, including the Packers, Vikings and Chiefs to name but a few. But as some teams race towards the Playoffs playing their best football of the year, the guys are left contemplating what went wrong for some of the fancied franchises? Although many names get a mention, the Colts are the posters boys for this. At 6-8 the season is not over, but current form suggests there needs to be changes in Indy to be competitive again... So there's all this, plus the quizzing and general footballing jibber-jabber you can always rely on from Club Dub! See you next week for the 'Chrimbo Special'. Thanks all.

EP 183 - Is It Time for Kirk to Boldly Go?
What a week that was! The Bills clear 40 points and lose, the Chiefs manage less than 20 and win - and all the time the Lions just look a cut above the rest! With Lions Bills on the horizon this week all eyes go there, but in the week just gone it is the stories amongst the struggling franchises that grab the guys' attention - including after their recent run whether the rumours are true and the Falcons are about to bench QB Kirk Cousins! The $200m man seems to be in the crosshairs and - if dropped - could start a QB carousel the like if which have never been seen before. All this chatter, plus the features you love. Thanks for checking in.

EP 182 - Joe's Burrow Looking More Like a Cave?
Well this week this podcast well and truly came off the rails, helped by the guys getting to discuss Bengals QB Joe Burrow, and his pretty eccentric choice of new chariot. If that doesn't make sense, then not much else on this week's pod will - including chat around is Aaron Rodgers the Jets best hope, or their biggest problem? And can the 11-1 Chiefs finally get out of their 'slump' against the Chargers this week....? All this, plus a million other conversations...many referencing HOF'er Peyton Manning's Super Bowl season at the Broncos. Thanks for listening!

EP 181 - Can Baker Keep Cooking?
Well, Week 12 of the NFL had everything, and most of those things came in the last two minutes as the Commanders faced the Cowboys! In a crazy week where the form book was thrown out of the window, it proved a good one for many, with the Buccaneers and Broncos being among the teams to show the kind of form that could take them to the Playoffs, and the Giants and the Raiders looking like their seasons involve their own race to the bottom. This week the guys break it all down as only they know how - plus there's even time for some quizzing along thew way. Enjoy!

EP 180 - Hey Russ, It's Me, Your Biggest Fan
Welcome everyone, to the show that has it all....including a love letter to Russell Wilson, I kid you not. Following a win over rivals the Ravens, the pod's resident Steeler takes the time to turn the lights down low and share his true feelings for Pittsburgh's Mr. Unlimited. As well as being a good week for the Steelers, the guys focus on the high flying Bills and Lions, before looking at who may be flying under the radar while still mounting a potential championship challenge, (we see you Chargers). As if this wasn't enough, we still have time for a super tough 'toughest quiz question in all of podcasting' and lots of the features you love. Thanks for tuning in!

EP 179 - Give 'Em the Boot!
Yo peeps. Week 10.....and Week11.....it must be an Odd Pod! Week 10, a week of shocks and surprises - as well as a host of close finishes. Many games were (one way or the other) decided by the unsung hero of any NFL team, the humble kicker. But in a week of shanks and blocks, a fortunate few got to play the hero once again. As well as the close calls, a few teams were handed big defeats, notably thew Jets and Cowboys who have to look ahead to next season with no chance of success likely this time around. Looking ahead to Week 11 there are games....and then there are games, as the guys focus on the heavyweight contests which see the four best teams in the AFC going head-to-head. All this, plus much more - including an ultimate contest in 'No Google, All Noodle'. Thanks for stopping by.

EP 178 - A Challenging Wash and Terrible Towels
The second half of the season is so often where the serious football is played, as teams fight for victories that see them playoff bound or leave them watching from home. With this phase underway in Week 10 we spend this pod looking at who will stack the wins in the next few weeks that will mark them out as true contenders and who may struggle to keep pace? While Washington might be the surprise package of the season so far, at least one of our trio thinks that it could be Pittsburgh who cause a surprise of their own this weekend by toppling Daniels & Co and putting themselves firmly in the AFC mix. Add to this, some chatter about whether the Chiefs perfect record is masking issues at Arrowhead and you have all the makings of another top-tier pod. Thanks for dropping by. Hope you enjoy.

EP 177 - The Wheels Fall Off For Carr
Hi everyone. The season might still be young, but it seems like a lifetime ago when the Saints were 2-0 and rolling. Stars lost to injury and the run of form that followed has cost the Head Coach his job and seen the remaining talent traded away, so the guys this week ask will there be divine intervention for the Saints, or does Derek Carr have a long road back. As well as Saints chatter, the week’s roundup includes some excitement around the Chiefs, Bills and even this pod’s beloved Cardinals to name a few. All this sets us up for a great Week 10, so don’t miss the flagship show. Thanks for stopping by!

EP 176 - Have Miami Left it 'Tua' Late?
Welcome back to the pod that has it all...if by all you mean a few guys talking about the highs and lows in the NFL this week. It was another barnstormer with Jayden Daniels putting on a show with a 'Hail Mary' winner for Washington, but they weren't the only impressive victors with the Lions, Bills and even the Browns looking good on Sunday. With the last week of games being so hard to predict, the guys turn their attention to the future and questions like whether the Rams, Seahawks, Falcons and Bucs will put together a run in the coming weeks that leads them to the Playoffs? Plus there's some time to dig in to whether Miami have enough games left to mount a playoff charge with Tua Tagovailoa now fit, healthy and back in the line-up. All this, plus the usual features you know and love! Thanks for listening.
