Curious Crusaders

The Heritage Foundation is a powerful, but unrecognized, force in American politics, shaping judicial outcomes, public policy, and cultural discourse to advance a specific conservative vision. They have shaped the Supreme Court, promoted “traditional values” (i.e. a white male Christian dominance) and influenced Ron DeSantis’s “war on woke ” which acts as a prototype for Donald Trump's federal agenda which is now in full force.

We describe the contradictions between Trump's economic promises to Black and Latino communities and the goals of Project 2025 which aims to rollback civil rights protections, cut social programs, and weaponize the Justice Department for political purposes.

We review Christian nationalism, conservative media, and their influence on American politics. One focus is Project 2025, a conservative initiative aiming to reshape the government in a second Trump administration, with concerns raised about its potential authoritarianism, impact on LGBTQ+ rights, and infusion of Christian nationalist principles. We examine the role of right-wing media outlets like Fox News and One America News (OAN) in normalizing extreme political agendas and shaping public opinion.

We discuss Project 2025's connections to Trump's administration and the concept of Accelerationism, among other far-right ideologies, which involves accelerating racial conflict and societal collapse to achieve a white ethnostate, often through violence and terrorism.

Project 2025 is a comprehensive plan spearheaded by the Heritage Foundation, in collaboration with numerous conservative organizations. Trump is following its plan to reshape the federal government, aligning it with a conservative ideology and significantly expanding presidential power.
