#28 - The Human Question in the Age of AI

Every conversation around AI seems to orbit the same themes. Speed. Scale. Capability. What systems can now do without us. But beneath that momentum, a quieter question keeps surfacing, one that is harder to measure and harder to answer. If the system writes, decides, recommends, and acts, what is left for the human? Not in theory, but in practice. Not as a slogan, but as a responsibility. Presented by Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik MVP Igor Alcantara, and Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik Education Ambassador Angelika Klidas, this episode features Mike Capone, recorded at Qlik Connect 2026 in Orlando. In what would become one of his final interviews as CEO of Qlik, Mike reflects on the human side of artificial intelligence. From accountability and leadership to AI literacy and decision making under pressure, this conversation moves away from what AI can do and focuses on what people must still do. After more than eight years leading Qlik through growth, transformation, and the expansion into AI, we close with appreciation for his leadership and the clarity he brought to a moment that demands more than technology. #27 - Using Data to End Human Trafficking

We often speak about data as a business asset. Something that improves efficiency, increases revenue, or sharpens decisions. But there are moments when data steps outside the boardroom and into something far more consequential. When it becomes a tool not just for insight, but for intervention. Presented by Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik MVP Igor Alcantara, and Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik Education Ambassador Angelika Klidas, this episode was recorded at the Data Voyagers lounge during Qlik Connect. Joined by Ashleigh Chapman, Human Rights Lawyer and founder of Engage Together, we explore how data and the Qlik platform are being used in the fight against human trafficking. From fragmented information to coordinated intelligence, this conversation reveals what happens when analytics is applied where the stakes are human lives, and where the goal is not optimization, but impact. #26 - Agentic AI: Between Control and Autonomy

Artificial intelligence has been moving fast. It writes, summarizes, recommends, and explains. It feels capable, even reliable. But behind most of these systems there is still a quiet limitation. They wait. They respond. They depend on us to take the next step. Agentic AI changes that. It takes a goal and turns it into action. It plans, selects tools, executes tasks, and adjusts along the way. The shift is subtle at first, but its impact is not. When systems move from answering to acting, the questions around control, responsibility, and trust become harder to ignore. Presented by Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik MVP Igor Alcantara, and Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik Education Ambassador Angelika Klidas, this episode explores what Agentic AI really is, how it works through skills and orchestration, and how it is already reshaping workflows across industries. From architecture to governance, from productivity to risk, we discuss what happens when execution is no longer manual. Because in the end, the challenge is not building systems that can act. It is deciding how much control we are willing to give up. Subscribe to the Data Voyagers Podcast wherever you get your podcasts and share the show with friends and colleagues. #25 - Closing the Loop in Analytics

Dashboards are everywhere. Clean, interactive, and full of answers. They show us trends, highlight risks, and point to opportunities. But there is a quiet assumption behind most analytics systems, that once the insight is delivered, the job is done. It rarely is. Because insight without action is just observation. And action without context often leads to poor decisions. The real challenge is not only understanding the data, but creating a loop where people can contribute back to it, add meaning, capture decisions, and keep the system alive. Presented by Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik MVP Igor Alcantara, and Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik Education Ambassador Angelika Klidas, this episode features Mária Oreská, Chief Product Officer at Inphinity and Qlik Partner Ambassador. From her background in applied mathematics to her experience as a Qlik developer and product leader, we explore the missing layer of analytics, the space where insight becomes action. We discuss writeback, workflows, and process intelligence, the role of the Qlik ecosystem, the Inphinity Champions program, and what to expect from Qlik Connect 2026. Because in the end, analytics is not a destination. It is a loop. Subscribe to the Data Voyagers Podcast wherever you get your podcasts and share the show with friends and colleagues. #24 - No One Scales Alone, The Architecture of Partnership

Platforms look powerful. Capable. Comprehensive. They promise insight, automation, intelligence. But platforms do not succeed because of features alone. They succeed because people adopt them, build around them, and carry them into markets that no vendor could reach alone. In the world of data and analytics, the real architecture is not only technical. It is human. Partnerships, incentives, trust, and leadership determine whether technology remains a tool or becomes an ecosystem. Presented by Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik MVP Igor Alcantara, and Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik Education Ambassador Angelika Klidas, this episode welcomes Peter Kwisthout, Global VP of Channel Partners for Data & Analytics and AI/ML at Qlik. Together we explore the architecture of partnership: how ecosystems are built, how incentives are aligned, and why leadership matters when multiple organizations must move toward the same goal. From the evolution of partner programs to the realities of global collaboration, this conversation examines a simple truth behind every successful platform. No one scales alone. #23 - The AI Constitution

Artificial Intelligence feels powerful. Capable. Objective. It drafts our emails, ranks our candidates, flags our risks, recommends our actions. It moves quickly, scales effortlessly, and speaks with confident fluency. But what happens when intelligence spreads faster than responsibility? What if the real risk is not that AI makes mistakes, but that we never decided who owns those mistakes? Presented by Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik MVP Igor Alcantara, and Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik Education Ambassador Angelika Klidas, this episode explores the six pillars of AI governance: safety, security, legal, ethics, performance, and sustainability. From bias and model drift to regulatory pressure and environmental cost, we examine why governing AI is not about slowing innovation, but about preserving trust. Because in the end, the question is not whether AI will shape decisions. The question is whether we are disciplined enough to govern the systems that shape them. #22 - The Danger of Trusting Numbers

Numbers feel precise. Clean. Objective. They sit on dashboards with confidence, backed by charts, models, and carefully defined metrics. But what if the danger is not bad data, but trusting numbers too easily? What if filters reshape reality, samples distort conclusions, and metrics quietly become targets instead of signals? Presented by Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik MVP Igor Alcantara, and Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik Education Ambassador Angelika Klidas, this is the part 2 about the many fallacies in data. This episode explores how selection bias, regression to the mean, KPI worship, and Goodhart’s Law reveal a deeper truth: data does not remove uncertainty. It only reduces ignorance. And unless we question what numbers represent, we risk mistaking measurement for understanding. #21 - Data is NOT the Truth

We live in a time where data is everywhere. We measure everything. We store everything. We visualize everything. And yet, somehow, we still get surprised by outcomes. Projects fail even though the numbers looked good. Decisions backfire even though the dashboards were green. Predictions miss reality even with sophisticated models behind them. Presented by Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik MVP Igor Alcantara, and Qlik Partner Ambassador and Qlik Education Ambassador Angelika Klidas, this is the part 1 of an episode about the many fallacies in data, where the numbers don't tell the whole story. #16 - Time Series: The Physics of Data

Time is the most democratic of all data sources — everyone gets it in the same increments. Second by second, minute by minute, reality unfolds, leaving behind a trail of information: a stock price changing, a heart beating, a sensor blinking, a shopper clicking “buy”. Each event on its own is nothing. But together, they form a rhythm; a pattern hidden in plain sight. And once you learn to read that rhythm, you can glimpse what’s next. Welcome to the Data Voyagers Podcast: Navigating the Stories Behind the Numbers. Presented by Igor Alcantara and Angelika Klidas, in today's episode we are venturing beyond the event horizon into the world of time series, where data isn’t just a collection of values but a story told through time itself. #15 - Dashboard Cemetery, Where Good Analytics Go to Die

Organizations all over the world spend millions deploying advanced analytics platforms, convinced that if they just bring in the right technology, transformation will naturally follow. But reality tells us something very different. The best dashboards, built on the most powerful tools, often end up sitting untouched. Expensive shelfware. Why? Because adoption—not access, not licenses, not the number of dashboards delivered—is the true leading indicator of success. Welcome to the Data Voyagers Podcast: Navigating the Stories Behind the Numbers. #11 - The Science of Decision-Making and the Algorithm of Choice

We make an estimated 35,000 decisions every day. Most of them are small — what to eat, what to wear, whether to read the notification or ignore it. But others? They shape careers, relationships, businesses, the house we live in… our lives. In today's Episode, Igor Alcantara and Angelika Klidas will talk about decision making. Some decisions are made in milliseconds. Others paralyze us for days. Some we make from the gut, others from a dashboard. #10 - Game Theory: Mission Nash-Possible

What do dirty-dish standoffs, tariff negotiations, ride-share fee wars, marriage conflicts, and self-driving cars negotiating a four-way stop have in common?  They’re all games, and the stakes are higher than you think. In this episode, Igor Alcantara and Angelika Klidas channel their inner secret agents to reveal how Game Theory turns everyday choices into strategic missions, and how a single tweak to the “rules” can flip winners and losers overnight. You’ll learn why incentives rule the world, how reputation keeps price wars from turning nuclear, and why a dash of randomness is your best defense against being out-guessed. From roommate dish duty to multi-agent AIs, we unpack the moves, countermoves, and mixed strategies that shape business, tech, and your daily life.  Subscribe to the Data Voyagers Podcast wherever you get your podcasts and share the show with friends and colleagues. #06 - Language Centric Analytics

Experts say that History as we know it starts when humans invent a written form of communication. Everything before is called prehistoric for that reason. However, a lot happen before the first cave person lay its hand covered with paint made from blood and plants in a wall. We formed small societies thousands of years ago and a way to keep every bigger groups together was through communication. We use language for almost everything we do, and we have doing so for a long time. Language is the most natural form to interact to one another and to express ideas. Even when you're alone with your thoughts, you think and process information in the form of language. Data Analytics is one of the rare fields where we do things differently. We do not use language per se, or natural language. We use mouse, charts, tables, and queries. That is unnatural. It is artificial and inefficient. Not anymore. With modern LLM technology we are now finally able to implement a whole new concept: Analytics centric in language instead of dashboards, reports or queries.  In this episode, Igor Alcantara and Angelika Klidas discuss the birth of Language-Centric Analytics, the concepts and the impact in the field of analytics and in society as a whole.
