The book club is back! We took a little longer than anticipated break from the book club, but we are back and ready to finish this book, continuing on with the second chapter. The lie focused on in this chapter is all about transgenderism and the manipulation of our empathy through this topic. With this episode being the first episode we are releasing in June, which the woke typically call "pride month", we hope this brings awareness to the wickedness that transgenderism is. 15. Book Club: Toxic Empathy: Lie #1: Abortion is Healthcare
Lie #1 in Allie Beth Stuckey's book, Toxic Empathy, is Abortion is healthcare. So we dive deep into the history of abortion, via Margaret Sanger, and the history of abortion in Canada. We ask the questions: how did we get here? and: how do we make abortion illegal? At the end, we share the undeniable grace of God for anyone who has had an abortion. Our goal for this episode is not to condemn anyone, but rather, to shine a light on the darkness that is abortion in Canada. We knew nothing of the evil and horror that was happening all around us. Our hope and prayer, that as you hear this, it'd light a fire within you to share about this topic with others, and join forces to put an end to abortion. This episode provides an immense amount of information, but it is not exhaustive. 6. God Saved Me (Sahra)
This is my testimony (Sahra). I pray this would ultimately glorify God and give insight into what he saved me from. While I no longer like disclaimers, one thing I would like to say, I do not tell my story of Isaac and I's relationship as an example to follow. This is not me advising anyone in a relationship where one person is saved and the other isn't, to wait it out. Please, be persistent in God's Word. Seek what He says. He does not speak anything that contradicts His Word. As hard as it is to hear, leave the dating relationship. Even if you are engaged and one person is not saved, do not use my story as an example. Do not think because it worked out in my story, that God always works it out in a similar way. If you are reading this and find yourself in a similar situation, I will pray for you. That you will clearly feel God's strength and grace guiding you. If you liked this episode and know of anyone you'd like to recommend please email me at [email protected] rate and review our podcast! It helps us out so much. Share with your friends and family as well.
