Georgios ( Germany / Greece ) - Second Generation German
Georgios is a German with Greek heritage. He gave insight on what it's like growing up in Germany with a mix of two languages and cultures. His parents moved to Germany from Greece to work. After some years in Germany, they moved the family back to Greece. Life in Greece didn’t go as planned, after selling everything to move to Greece, they found themselves moving the family back to Germany. Franz ( Guatemala ) - Following His Dreams
Franz moved from Guatemala to Germany to study for his Master's degree. Without knowing the German language, Franz had to navigate German bureaucracy and find an apartment within a few short weeks of arriving. He needed to be registered at a German address to access the money he deposited in a blocked bank account as part of the requirement for his visa. Franz found a room to rent where he thought he could register, but after paying for the room in cash with no receipt , he found out that he couldn’t register at the address.
