Tim Wagner's musical adventure began on the mean streets of his native Stony Brook, Long Island when he got his first electric guitar at the age of 13. While everyone else seemed to be obsessing over Billy Joel, the young Wagner worshiped the sounds of Chic and Black Uhuru. After a short stint as an NPR jazz DJ in upstate New York, his journey finally brought him to New York City.Wagner recently began the Brooklyn based label, Dither Down Records, along with DJ Chicus of RedBud Records. The label's eclectic roster includes everything from the dance floor darling Eli Escobar to the afro electro twosome, Jogyo. Dither Down recently released the latest single, "Nightspot" from the electric soul outfit 33Hz, which counts Wagner as a founding member. He also co-produced the recent SAADI single "Snowyman" and he has several top secret producing projects in the pipeline.
