  33. 28

    DA: Ep. 28 - A Warrior's Drink

A bit of an unusual episode this week. This episode is actually a bit of a Nostalgia fueled discussion of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Both of us have been rewatching that show. Just prior to our discussion of the new Picard show, I turned on the mics a little early in the middle of a discussion we were having about an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation in which Q does something nice for Picard. It's an episode called tapestry, and Oatman was making the argument that it was out of character for Q. He was actually doing something nice which is not something he's known for, so we're going to start right smack-dab in the middle of that conversation and transition very neatly right into our discussion of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Please to enjoy.

  36. 25

    DA: Ep. 25 - Batmanime

We discuss the DC Animated Film Batman Ninja. The combination of Batman and anime is to cinema - what the combination of chocolate and peanut butter is to cinema. If that doesn’t make sense, buckle up. SPOILERS begin at the 24:40 minute mark. Other topics discussed: After Earth Unbreakable Split M Night Shyamalan Van Helsing Sherlock Holmes

  37. 24

DA: Ep. 24 - Too Much Budget (Sorry to Bother You review)

DA: Ep. 22 - The Hazard of Duke (BlacKkKlansman review)

We discuss Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman. Is it subtly brilliant or an atonal mess? Also, due to the political nature of the film, we do wander onto some political topics for just a bit (fair warning), but we also find time to talk about Waterworld, so there’s something for everyone. SPOILERS begin at the 17:35 minute mark. Other topics discussed: Spider-man: Homecoming,Kevin Costner, Postman, Waterworld, Wyatt Earp

  40. 21

DA: Ep. 21 - Autocrat Out of Hell

We take a long hard look at the DC Animated film, "Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay." It may be rated R, but that doesn’t mean it’s mature, and maybe that’s okay. SPOILERS begin at the 17:15 minute mark. Other topics discussed: Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, Deadshot vs. Deathstroke vs. Deadpool, Dr. Fate

  41. 20

    DA: Ep. 20 - We’re Gonna Need a Montage

This week Oatman was out of town, and time was limited. The good news: there’s still an episode. The bad news: we had to resort the dirtiest trick TV producers ever pulled. We made a clip show. The also good news: It’s still a good episode. And hey, if you haven’t heard some of these clips, it’s new to you.

  42. 19

DA: Ep. 19 - Mission Watchable: Vague Motivation

Ethan Hunt may have lost a step, but he’s still the best runner in the spy business.

  43. 18

    DA: Ep. 18 - Star Trek-ish

    DA: Ep. 16 - Ant-Man's Quantum Leap

Only one of us hates the latest Marvel joint, "Ant-Man and the Wasp." But which one? The answer may surprise you. (The other merely doesn’t much care for it.) Other topics discussed: Star Trek; Avengers: Infinity War; Thor: The Dark World; Justice League; Space: 1999

  46. 15

We talk Incredibles 2 this week, though we immediately get off track with a heated debate about the nature of animated films. That’s right: heated! Other topics discussed: Fast and Furious, Wall-e, Toy Story 3, Black Panther, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Iron Giant, Princess Mononoke

  47. 14

DA: Ep. 14 - Batman and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

We take on the animated adaptation of "Batman: The Killing Joke." Will Batman finally cross the line and kill The Joker? It turns out, there’s a real debate about that point. We also examine: just how bad is Batman’s sense of humor?Other topics discussed:Prince; Batgirl; Commissioner Gordon

  48. 13

DA: Ep. 13 - Amish Dystopia

Join us for a SPOILER filled discussion of the Netflix original film "Mute" directed by Duncan Jones. If you haven’t yet seen the film, let us save you the time.
