Student council and Best Buddies participated in the Special Olympics Missouri Polar Plunge at Creve Coeur Lake on Saturday, Feb. 27.

Robotics team has finished its season with a combined record of 18-22.

“For a lot of deaf people, what makes it difficult for them, is that other people don’t know how to speak to them,” social studies teacher Amanda Golby said. Golby is sponsoring the new American Sign Language (ASL) club, started by a group of freshmen in her social studies classes.

“I went through a year where students…seemed to believe that school was preparing them for something later in life, instead of realizing that the something is right now. They can be changemakers now,” English teacher Gwyndolyn Savens said.

Principal Matt Irvin announced his retirement to the district through ParentSquare on Oct. 14, after working at WGHS for six years.
