Episode 8 - Interview with Farmer David about Food Waste, Farming and More!
Our interview this month is with Farmer David Haakenson of Jubilee Farms in Carnation, Washington! We wanted to get his take on food waste, the supply chain, and humans' relationship with their food and how we can make a difference. We even get into composting and soil composition (FACINATING - we say that a lot in this episode.) Make sure to keep an ear out for all the Star Wars references. We would LOVE to hear from you too! Episode 7 - Being Overwhelmed, Taking Action, and "the Miracle that is: A carrot."
Courtney and Michelle complete the third week of their food waste challenge: outreach! They have eerily similar experiences with being overwhelmed, but also practice having grace for themselves. They go into thinking about food waste on a larger scale instead of just in their own homes, and find new ways to make a difference in their communities! In the deep dive: Courtney walks us through steps to go from anxiety to action. We would LOVE to hear from you too! Email us at [email protected] and follow along on ig @ecofreakout!
