Reflections from IFE 2026: Technology and Humanity
In this episode of the Deep Dive Podcast by EnablingLearning.com, we share a personal reflection from the IFE Conference 2026 at Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico. Luis Hernandez, along with colleagues Viviana Hall and Roberta Mesquita, presented on reimagining multilingual classrooms using AI, active learning, and digital storytelling. But the most important lesson did not happen during the presentation. It happened on a campus path, where a professor who had taught at Tec de Monterrey for over thirty years turned a ten-minute walk into a masterclass in institutional knowledge, campus culture, and what it means to be a true ambassador for education. They learned more in that walk than any brochure, website, or app could have taught them.At its heart, this episode is about why educators must be part of shaping how AI is used in education. AI can handle the repeatable and the scalable. When it does that well, it frees educators for the human connections that truly matter: being fully present, sharing what matters, and connecting human to human.Read the blog post here: https://www.enablinglearning.com/reflections-from-ife-2026-technology-and-humanity/
