A Podcaster/Small Business Owner's Year in Review
Hi everyone, I wanted to share a heartfelt review of 2025, divided into three chapters: Chapter: 1: My journey as a podcasterAs a podcaster, I've heard so many founder and leadership stories, but something about impact-driven content drew my attention - much more than before. Why? Simply because I can finally say that I am in a position to share these stories that can make an impact. In turn, this also led to unexpected opportunities and reaffirmed the value of our small but engaged audience.Chapter 2: Pivots as a small business ownerLong ago, Haoming Lee shared some sage advice about branding - "If no one knows you, you can rebrand in any way you want." This meant that I didn't need to fit any type of mould or business structure. I could pivot, and I did. From 100% podcast-related efforts, to talent-based effort. I'm not just producing podcasts - I'm hosting events, emceeing Gala dinners, launches and even moderating panel sessions!Chapter 3: Growth as a human being. Finally, on a personal note, embracing compassion and patience has transformed my approach to life and work. I no longer feel guilty for not working 8-10 hours a day. I am instead, grateful for this privilege, and will continue to see how I can help others in their work, businesses and lives.Thank you for your continued support. Here's to an impactful 2026. Keep listening and moving forward.

BONUS: EP.IC054 - Parental advice about Esports with Nikhil Hathiramani #IMPLS #PaperRex
Apart from the business of Esports, I truly wanted to know how Parents can better understand, support and manage expectations of our kids entering the Esports realm. It's not going to be rosy, at the same time, this segment gave me a lot of perspective about how we can enter that world, rather than preach about a world of "what was". Let's have a look at "What Is".

EP.IC050 - Leadership 101 for the new leader with Steve Suh
We invited Steve back onto the podcast to share more insights, tips and practices for those in leadership positions. Whether you're an experience leader, or new to the role, here are the key learnings from this podcast: 1. Know your values - they are your guide. 2. Your people are everything, so Get to know your people and get to know them on THEIR TERMS! 3. Build Trust and don't assume that they trust you - earn it where and when you can. Ask them, what it takes to earn their trust, even if it seems weird. 4. As much as you want accountability from your team, you must demonstrate that accountability first. 5. Leaders need motivation just as much as the staff do, so by being engaged and in it, you're motivating your leaders. Thanks for listening! EP.IC049 - Career Shifts - Mistakes made and Lessons learnt with Shawn Liu
Today's episode is about the Difference a plan can make in the early part of your career. Early on in life, I never really had a goal. I knew what a goal was, but never understood how to put it to good use. I'd always thought that if you worked hard, things would just work themselves out, but that's kinda like rowing a boat with no idea of where you're supposed to dock. Shawn Liu is a friend, former training partner and colleague from our days in the military. He joins the podcast to reminisce, discuss and share what we've learnt about our careers and what could have been...
