A Light at the End of the Tunnel for KC??
This week, we break down the Royals completing their first sweep of the 2026 season (it's about time), they've won four straight, and the offense is finally starting to break out of the slumps of April. The new city connects have given the boys some power to win, starting with the guys at the bottom of the lineup stepping up. And we thing Bobby Witt Jr. is seconds from takeoff. The bullpen has been horrific, but we don't think they're utterly useless, as we think they were dealt a bad hand to start the season. No excuses, but you need to know why they are off to such a heinous start. New stadium has been announced! And we end it with America's favorite segment: Drop the Ball!

Never Say It Can’t Get Worse…
The worst record in Major League Baseball belongs to the Kansas City Royals. What a time to be alive in 2026. We chat the inconsistencies on this club and what the actual hell is going on. Salvador Perez seems to be clashing with leadership and that does not happen, the offense has been abysmal, some stars won’t produce, we keep losing to winning teams and so much more. Jac Caglianone is hitting but where’d the power go? These guys can pitch but you look at just about every other aspect and they are being let down. We break it all down, with Drop the Ball ending out the show.

Isbel=Bonds? As the Starters Stay Elite
This week, the guys discuss the first week of the season, which has been half good/half bad. But no need to worry like those groups on twitter, we have a level head! We highlight the series against the Braves, Twins, and Brewers to see where the offense sputtered and the pitching shined. The starting rotation has been nails to start the season, yet we have some bullpen outings that haven't been amazing. But, we have Kyle Isbel producing like Barry Bonds, Jac Caglianone has got off to a solid start, and Carter Jensen slept in. The bottom of the order is hitting when the top just cannot. It's Royals baseball, everyone. Then we end it with America's favorite segment: Drop the Ball!

Some questionable bullpen demotions, but we're sure that they will be up at some time during the season. We discuss the expectations for this club, what their ceiling/floor is, and what we can look to as needlemovers for the 2026 season. Everything and everything Royals is what we're about. Carter Jensen is highlighted as one to look out for while he's one of the last of the core back at Spring Training in Surprise. Starling Marte is a Royal, as we look to see what he could do in a Royals uniform in 2026. Matt seems to like it a lot, as Jackson doesn't see it as moving the needle. We also highlight a couple guys for fans to take a look at as the stars are away at the WBC. And of course, we end it with America's favorite segment: Drop the Ball!

Isaac Collins is starting to get some playing time, and we see how important he really is to this roster. Josh Rojas is playing like a man possessed in spring, and we think he'll be the Adam Frazier of this 2026 ballclub. Then we end it with America's favorite segment: Drop the Ball!

How Well Can This Core Play? & Pitching Depth Reigns Supreme
This week on Drop the Ball we discuss how good can the good be on the Royals? We dive into the leading producers on this team and see who's prime for a regression, and even if they are, that might not be a terrible thing. There's a lot of negative that goes along with that word nowadays. Bob, Vinnie, Maikel, and Salvy are still your pillars and we see how they shape up coming into the 2026 season. We see Blake Mitchell on the diamond for the first time this spring and he looks healthy as ever. We take a deep dive on the bullpen, and how we think this bullpen potentially has exponential ways to grow. We also see who is most primed to achieve the most, even thought the expectations are low. Then we end it with America's favorite segment: Drop the Ball!

The Boys in Blue are Back in Surprise! (2026)
The Royals are back in Surprise, so that means one thing: baseball is back soon! Matt and Jackson take a look at a couple battles that are happening in spring, and who we think will take the job. The outfield once again is a topic, as we look to opening day, is Jac Caglianone in the starting lineup? Is Kyle Isbel really safe in center? Pecota projections like the Royals for the first time...ever? Some pitching injuries around the league make us speculate whether Kris Bubic will be moved, and how he did NOT look happy coming into camp after an offseason of rumors with his name. We end it with some Royals trivia, as Jackson gives in. And of course, we end it with America's favorite segment: Drop the Ball!

Matt once again pleads that we cannot rely on Jac Caglianone and Carter Jensen only in 2026. It's playoffs or bust and it seems you're running back with the same squad. We chat Carlos Beltran going to the Hall of Fame, and then end it with America's favorite segment: Drop the Ball!
